When they were done the house was spotless from floor to ceiling and the appliances looked new. I appreciated that they took a tour of the house before quoting a price. The technician, Brian, confirmed he would arrive on 09/23/2025, during the day, and would call beforehand. He never called. At 4:49 PM, he texted saying he was sick and asked to reschedule for 09/24/2025, sometime in the afternoon. While I empathize with illness, he allowed her to wait the entire day without any communication until late afternoon. My sister requested a visit after 4:15 PM on the 24th. Around 5 PM, Brian texted again saying he was still finishing another job and would try to arrive by 6:30 PM. At 7 PM, my sister reached out again--no response. At that point, I told her to forget it. I called the main number and spoke with the owner, also named Brian. He was calm; I was understandably frustrated. He assured me everything would be handled that night and asked for my sister's address and my phone number. He said he would call back. He never did. There was no mention of any emergency until I followed up via text. Suddenly, the owner claimed "emergencies take precedence." That explanation was never given during any of the prior conversations. It was retroactively inserted to justify the lack of follow-through. Let me be clear: The technician canceled last-minute due to illness, leaving my sister waiting all day. He rescheduled, then again failed to communicate until late, and ultimately didn't show. The owner promised resolution that night, then disappeared without a word. Only after I followed up did he mention "emergencies," which had never been disclosed earlier. The owner accused me of seeking confrontation when I was simply asking for accountability. This experience was the opposite of what I expected from a well-reviewed company. It was disorganized, dismissive, and completely unreliable. The entire point of hiring a professional was to avoid burdening family and friends. Instead, it created more stress. If you've had a good experience with this company, that's great. But based on my experience, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Myrtle Beach has many reputable handymen with strong reviews. I suggest you explore those options.
