This is probably one of my new favorite restaurants in the area. Friendly service, great décor, amazing food. I've eaten here several times now, in person and carry out, and I've never been disappointed. Often times I end up with a favorite dish at a restaurant, but here, everything is my favorite. First time here and I will definitely be returning. I usually go to my favorite Vietnamese restaurant on 7 th st but this is a great location and the workers are nice. The food was great next time I will definitely branch out and try more food. The time I came I was with my daughter and she does not like any of this food. I just realized I hadn't reviewed this place yet for Yelp My bad. I've been going here since they opened almost a year now. I have had 90% of the menu and it's all AWESOME. I have taken dozens of people here and everyone raved about the food. Souki, head chef and owner, is an artist. And the best part, the food is crazy consistent. They never have an "off-night". The appetizers are wonderful. My favorite is the spring rolls. All the traditional Vietnamese/Thai dishes are here as well as some creative fusion dishes. Try the Todd Steak Salad if it's available. A beautiful steak and vegetable salad that will knock your socks off. The Pho selections are like bowls of nectar from the heavens. Fresh ingredients in the hands of a master REALLY does make a difference. Souki's wife, Bonnie, is the brains (and beauty) behind the operation. Make sure to tell her what you like. While the food was good and the server was nice the wait was way to long for such a small place. I honestly believe they just missed placed our order, but told us it was because they had a lot of take out orders come in (not a good excuse). Fantastic Pho- some of the best I've ever had. Broth is rich and nourishing and comes with a plethora of bean sprouts, basil, jalapeños, and lime. Great spice selection as well. We ordered dragon fried rice- A little bit salty for me but the shrimp was delicious. We also ordered egg rolls, those were good. And the iced coffee. Iced coffee tasted a little more like chocolate than coffee but it wasn't awful. read more

The best Pho in the 815, Pho-Real. Whether you've never had pho or have had it 100 times, Rock-Pho'd is the restaurant Pho-You. This was by far the best pho I've ever had and it was only made better by the Pho-Nominal service. Souky, Bonnie, and all the staff made my first-time visit un-Pho-Gettable. They also did a Pho-Nominal job designing the restaurant and even added some festive decor for the holidays. I will Pho-Sure be returning soon. read more

I've been here twice and both times I was very pleased. I ordered the pad see ew and crab Rangoon's the first time. The portions are very reasonable with enough for leftovers. The second time I ordered the Nam khao and egg rolls and couldn't believe the flavor. I am looking forward to trying other menu options. Very disappointing. Interior was nice and the staff was very friendly, but the food was poor. Ordered Panang curry with chicken - it was supposed to have baby corn and carrots - it didn't, but it was loaded with onions. About two thirds of the plate. And there was very little chicken. We also ordered Lad Nar which was also supposed to have carrots and baby corn, and again it didn't. And the noodles were stuck together in one big glob. Had to get a knife to cut them. Remarkably poor. There's much better Thai available in town. read more

Well don't believe the prices in the menu posted on here. I got a pad Thai and an iced coffee and total was $23??? Still trying to figure that out the Pad Thai was just ok ... Visiting Chicago from Cali and wanted some Khao Piak...in my opinion if you're not Laotian its still edible but way to cakey. Wouldn't recommend from here and wouldn't come to this restaurant again. Ordered the mango and sticky rice too, way too much coconut sauce!!!! Obviously it tastes better with it but there is a limit to how much you put on and it just seemed like they drowned it making me disappointed. Even my grandma says this place isn't that great either but, if you're not Asian looking for that Asian food fix, you can try this place out. Not satisfied and money wasted. read more

By far one of my favourite Pho places in town; service phenomenal, owner always comes out and talks to us to make sure everything is fine, but I believe it's because my brother-in-Law is good friends with him lol. Either way, the food is always on point--the cleanliness is impeccable, I haven't seen a dirty table, or floors or etc, though I've never checked the bathrooms... either way, the place is the spot To go. Omg I looooove the pho at this place. I'm not very experienced with pho so take this review how you want. This was the first and one out of three places I ever got pho. The other place was Sister's Thai cafe and Pho 815 and theirs was less than impressive. No flavor in the broth. The chicken was barely seasoned and a scarce quantity was given. The one here is delicious and got me hooked on Pho. It has soooo much flavor and they bring you all the spices, mint leaves, lime, and bean sprouts on the side to add to your liking. For about $10 you get a huge bowl that I could usually only finish half of. I also was to add how delicious the fried meatballs are. First time I've ever tried them but wow are they good. Covered in a delicious batter that's crisped to perfection with a side of sweet and sour sauce. Plus the service is awesome, waitresses and staff are very friendly and the food was delivered super fast and steaming hot! I love this place! My definite go to for pho. read more

Stopped in this AM to try something new. The crab Rangoon's and spring rolls were great. We each ordered a different entree, chicken, beef and shrimp. All were delicious. Nice portions, plenty of meat. The people next to us had some bowls of some type of soup and noodles, looked great, especially when it's 7 degrees outside. Waitress was friendly and helpful. This place is amazing. Their food is flavorful and absolutely delicious. Rockford has been needing a place like this. Delicious Thai and Vietnamese food. Our food came out fast and hot. Service was attentive and caring. Portions are generous with a generous serving of shrimp. We ordered the Dragon Fried rice and the red curry with shrimp. We would definitely order them again. Incredibly clean!!! Live in Chicago with s plethora of pho establishments yet this is my favorite. I try to come every 2 weeks. Broth is not oily and love that they don't use cinnamon although think they can add this with ease. I love extremely spicy yet their jalapeños and crushed red powder satiates me every time. read more
