Unfortunately for us we found this place rather dire. We visited on a Sunday evening around 6pm and aside from one other family, the place was entirely empty which didn't bode well.
The barmaid could not pronounce the name of the wine. The menu was extremely limited and when I ordered a baked potato was told that they had none left after Sunday lunch seriously, something that should be a staple, basic food? On ordering an alternative (filled Yorkshire pudding the term filled should be taken very loosely) was advised they did not have the filling I wanted either. I therefore ordered an alternative filling but when the meal arrived, I didn't even get what I asked for. I was too hungry to care by this point and so we complained and to be fair they apologised, and I was offered a free dessert, but as I don't eat dessert I declined we were still charged full price for everything despite not getting what we'd ordered.
It was also clear that most of the food was frozen/microwaved I had a clear view of the kitchen from where I was sitting so it was obvious that the microwave was on overtime and I saw bags of frozen chips being emptied into the deep-fat fryer. We certainly shall never be visiting again and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more
