There is also another car park opposite which has ample parking should it be needed. The rates are reasonable. YOU WOULD BE HARD PUSHED TO FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH A BETTER RATE CONSIDERING THE TOWN IS AN ACTUAL HOLIDAY RESORT!!! We also had a balcony room and although it was overlooking the car park area there were also views over the countryside. As for the breakfast, we couldn't complain, we were up early everyday of our stay to make the most of the surf so never missed it! The hotel also has a 4 star rating so they must be doing somehting right! Anyway, we've booked again for next year and will probally turn up for NYE also

There are several staircases and no lift so be prepared. I can only comment on the room I stayed in, and though it was clean it was vey small, especially as they knew we need space to fit a travel cot. The room did have a balcony which was good but our view was just of the car park. I believe there are rooms with a sea view though. The staff were very friendly and helpful so absolutely no complaints there. Breakfast was good, however the time slot in which it was served was very short which was a little inconvenient. The hotel has a restaurant should you want to eat in, though we didn't try it. There is also a pub/bar at the front which was o.k. There is a car park and their website says it has enough room for all guests not true. There was a cycling event on while we were there and the hotel was fully booked and there certainly wasn't enough room (even if you all park blocking each other in which is what happened every night).

We sampled a coffee and local Cornish ciders on draft which were lovely. Cosey wooden style modern pub with friendly staff. The location is unique and supreme. If you have dogs come and walk them on the beach and then stop for a pint..dogs are allowed.

So to The Railway Inn we went. And it was excellent. Lovely homely atmosphere, charming staff, massive platefuls of home-cooked pub grub, and a ridiculously small bill. I had two humungous home-made fishcakes stacked on top of one another. My other half had fish (skate wing, I think) simply cooked in lemon and butter. Both with a good lot of salad and a massive bowl of hot, salty chips to share. Oooh, and we had a lovely bottle of Nobilo New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. All this, plus a bitter and a lager to start, for the bargainous price of 40 quid!
