I was diagnosed with rosacea and treated with doxycycline, Plexion, and later metronidazole. Despite telling her that my forehead continued to worsen and that the sulfur products caused significant burning and irritation, my treatment continued along the same path. After seeking a second opinion from another dermatologist, I was diagnosed with acne instead. My treatment was changed and over the following months, my forehead improved dramatically. It is now virtually clear with no active spots. I understand that dermatologic diagnoses can sometimes change, but I was disappointed that my worsening condition did not lead to a reassessment of the diagnosis sooner. Those months were extremely stressful and had a significant impact on my quality of life. I hope this feedback encourages the practice to listen carefully when patients report that their condition is worsening despite treatment and to remain open to reconsidering the diagnosis when the clinical course doesn't fit.

When they do answer, they are unpleasant, impatient and unhelpful. I needed them to fax something to a specialist - they eventually faxed some one random page that was completely irrelevant to my medical problem. Everything you say you need to repeat like 3 times. So, if you need something from them - good luck, but don;t have high expectations.
