Earlier…read morethis week I received a call from Ernie's daughter at my place of employment, claiming his health is failing and her family would be taking over the company. She requested I REMOVE my original review below because it has caused the company to lose customers and has had irreparable damages to the company's reputation. She offered to send me a check to cover the cost of damages if I could produce a written estimate of the damages AND if I agreed to remove the review! I informed her that I would not be removing the review, and I welcomed her to respond to my review explaining the change in management. She again requested that I remove the post and she would send me a check to cover the damages ONLY if I agreed to remove the review. Although her tone remained professional, I was not only annoyed at her persistence, but actually appalled at the request. Let me reiterate, she called my JOB and was only offering to cover the cost of damages because of the company's loss of revenue, not because it was the right thing that should have been done from the very beginning, but even had the audacity to request that I submit the written estimate of damages three years later! She also mentioned that they would like to continue his legacy, and not be forced to change the company's name because of the loss of revenue my review has caused them. I informed her not only is this unethical, I continue to stand firm on my review because this experience was not only frustrating, but cost $400 worth of damages to my property that I had to come out of my pocket to repair. As a consumer, I would NEVER deal with this company! How dare someone call my place of employment and offer to pay me to remove a review that was a legitimate experience with this company. When I told him it was absurd that his men couldn't even mow around my walkway with all of the overgrown bushes, and why didn't they deal with them, he told me they don't prune until the end of May (the contract never said anything about May). It's been a wet spring, and the bushes needed pruning sooner than the end of May. He was very stubborn and defensive. Needless to say, he's no longer our landscaper.
