You too can now duplicate your favorite pasta dishes! Durante's sells dry pasta and frozen pasta and the variety is absolutely astonishing. There are my favorite dry pastas which includes pappardelle, fettuccine, linguine, spaghetti and capellini. The frozen pastas that are totally irresistible are their spinach manicotti, cheese ravioli, lobster ravioli, and cheese tortellini. My newest favorite item is their homemade marinara sauce that can go up against anybody's grandmothers' recipe. It is divine. All good chefs know that perfect meals begin with the best ingredients. He had linguini with seafood. When checking out at the register there was another patron at the register, my boyfriend and then me. I went to walk to the fridge to check some gelato and my bag brushed a bottle of balsamic vinegar on the shelf. It fell off and didn't break open. The bottom chipped. The paper popped though. Instead of writing it off as accidental damage, they charged us $75. In a market it's about 40-50. For a damage they should have charged cost or just resell at a discount. I'd never come back. A bit strange they'd place such valuable products in a small space where they can be accidentally knocked off the shelf by someone walking by. It's so tight in there.

We ordered a box of Round Classic Cheese Raviolis that were just prepared. When we cooked them at home which only took a few minutes to boil in hot water, these Cheese Raviolis were delicious. So, if we're ever in the Peekskill area again we will stop in to spend more time to looking around the shop that has a wide variety of pastas and sauces etc; for a quick meal to make at home.

The Spinach Lasagna (bought for my mom) and Butternut Squash Ravioli (for me) were easily my two top picks. I also picked up Mozzarella Sticks and non-meat Italian red sauce. As an avid seafood lover, I noticed a few seafood-filled pasta which will probably get some other time. I don't think price was bad at all- then again I can't gauge it with anything else.
