This place would almost be perfect if they had alot They also had a turkey who kinda looked like a dinosaur and my son was convinced it wanted to fart on us lol... this is clearly his monologue right now as I'm writing this. Tons of picnic tables to bring your own grub and chill with the family We went during their sugaring so they showed us how they make their maple syrup which was cool!! They are surrounded my backwoods and trails Also they had like a highland cow there which was my fav!

Muscoot Farm is a great place to go if you need your daily fix of cute animals. I saw goats, sheep, chickens, a pig, cows, turkeys, and other cute animals. We weren't able to see any chicks or baby turkeys but we did see baby cows and some cute lambs. Muscoot Farm isn't a petting zoo, but the animals do come up to you sometimes if you're quiet and respectful. I was surprised that I didn't see any of their horses and that they didn't have any male turkeys, but we got to see some of the feeding time, and I even got the chance to learn a little about how the Farm used to be run. The farm doesn't require payment, but they do take donations so please donate when you come so that they can continue feeding and caring for the animals and the land, and so they can continue to pay their employees. This farm is a great place, and I hope that anyone who reads this review comes to visit.

Great place to spend the whole day with your kids and the whole family. Kids will love the animals here. There is also a hiking trails inside the farm. The Sunday farmer market were great. We love this place.

We did the morning farm chores on June 1st and it was wonderful! My children had a great time. The director of the farm lead the farm chores and he was fantastic! Patience with the children, very knowledgeable and extremely kind. We couldn't have asked for a better time at the farm. Muscoot farm is about a 40 minute drive for us because we are in North Rockland but our visit was worth the drive. The farm is very clean and well run. It did not smell at all and there are lots of workers. I'd definitely recommend visiting this farm and I will definitely be returning soon!

I may be overrating this Farm/Park/Museum, but I'm a city girl now and I love it! On a rainy day we had the place to ourselves. Im sure we didn't get the full treatment but I sure didn't care. Live animals! So beautiful to see up close and personal. Antique carriages and more. A gift shop and beautiful house to tour. All of this fun and not a penny admission fee! I'm returning to take more photos soon. I highly recommend this Farm for city dwellers. This place would be a special treat for young children that live in NYC. They do accommodate buses. If you don't have a car you may be able to visit via a bus tour. Relax and breathe fresh air!

Love coming during the winter after a snow storm. Beautiful serene quaint place to take a walk among the farm and animals. And so reachable in mid Westchester.

I always love coming here ..never crowded like some of the other farms. plenty of animals to see and pet..there's a little snack bar if you are hungry. The hiking trail wraps around the back of the farm for some great views

The greatest farm experience for any age. See chickens, cows, pigs, donkeys and more while grabbing a pumpkin in the pumpkin patch and hopping on a hay ride. I will be back every year thanks to this amazing spot and great staff!

Definitely not a whole day event but worth the trip, especially because its... FREE. I usually find myself paying to walk around or see something outdoorsy and find myself thinking.. "what for?" on the way out. The weather was nice, so the animals were not couped up in pens trying to stay warm or away from the sun, so I think we were there on a good day. They have: cows, horses, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, donkeys, and pigs. But we are not allowed to touch, or feed the animals, which is disappointing. This place is perfect for young children.

Brought some brunch and enjoyed the view!

Beautiful and fun for kids! Theres hiking, a museum area, and a bunch of animals to see. I was stopping for a nice place to eat my lunch and ended up staying for a few hours! It was so nice, definitely recommend and bring a picnic!

My favorite place to go and visit the animals without having to spend a fortune . It runs on donations so come, pack a nice lunch and have a picnic on the lawn by the main house. I give a few dollars and I know it goes to help keep the farm running.

From the time we signed up, to the time we boarded the plane to return home, TEP took care of every detail. We commented amongst ourselves that we felt like kids on vacation with our parents, as we didn't have to worry about any of the details - just show up and follow Neptali (our guide). From airport pickup in Cusco in luxury Mercedes vans where we were promptly served Coca tea to help with the altitude acclimation, to group dinners at amazing Peruvian restaurants, to historical tours and education on the history of the Inca - everything was covered and taken care of for us. And that was all before the amazing trek along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu! Of course the trek itself was the highlight of the trip, and although it was extremely challenging for us, TEP's unbelievable attention to detail did not fail us on the trail. With nearly a 2:1 porter to trekker ration, our every need was met on the trail. We dined like kings every meal, and were consistently amazed with the quality (and nutritional appropriateness) of the food our chef and sous chef were able to put out with minimal kitchen conveniences. The thing I felt was most special about TEP's approach to this trip was the focus on gaining a cultural and historical appreciation for what we were experiencing. Every step along the way, we learned about the native people of Peru, the Inca civilization, the many ruins we came across, the vegetation we saw and how it was and is used, and the history of modern Peru. It was the trip of a lifetime, and have the help of The Explorer's Passage made it so much more enjoyable, and so much more memorable. The value of what they provide is amazing for the cost....rather, for the investment. I highly recommend them!

In one of the barns you are educated on how much work it took to maintain the homestead. You are able to get a glimpse of what school would be like in the 19th century through the preserved one roomed school house located on top of the barn. The homestead is 62 acres with a pond, three gardens, and trails for walking around the perimeter. In the summer and fall they host a farmers market. In the winter they allow you to bring cross country skis and snow shoes to explore the property. All year round you may walk on one of the many trails on and around the property, or sit down for a picnic. They have many programs available at the homestead, including a Barn Dance in the fall, History Camps in the summer, as well as school programs. In front of each building there are plaques with historic pictures, quotes, and maps. I would recommend showing up early or buying your tickets for the tour in advance. The tours sell out quickly because the tour groups are small. There are many ways to explore the historic site due to the many activities the site has to offer. They also offer many activities for kids. Everyone in the family has something to do. Even if you are not a history person the homestead is a great place to go to enjoy the outdoors, the house, the gardens, and the scenery of the 62 acre property. I would recommend taking the time to visit. Review by: Jeremiah H.

This tour was definitely a highlight of our trip! Captain John and Charlie were great and all the passengers aboard had a great time! We passed three lighthouses-Peck Ledge LH, Sheffield Island LH and Green's Ledge LH. Charlie, co-captain of Captain John, had just toured the inside of Green's Ledge LH the day before which is listed on Airbnb for $6,000! He went around the ship showing everyone the floor plan. It especially exciting to be on the Long Island Sound and to see the red and white towers from Northport, since I live on Long Island!! Be warned, book tickets online and in advance. They sold out for day/time we wanted to take the cruise, but there were 20 tickets still available the night before. Plan accordingly. We arrived for a 3:30 cruise on a beautiful August afternoon. The cruise seemed to be full, and there was a mix of couples and families on the boat. The boat ride is smooth and relaxing. The boat staff was offering a "guided" tour, but it was tough to hear, so I gave up trying and just enjoyed the experience of being out on the water. The boat ride is about 30 - 40 minutes each way. You won't get wet, at least we didn't, and there are enough seats/room for everyone. Once you arrive at the island, you have about 1.5 hours to explore. They have a guided lighthouse tour, a small concession stand, a small beach (not one that you would lay out at, so no need to bring a suit), volleyball courts, nature trails, etc. This entire experience is set up to be calm and relaxing. There isn't too much to do on the island, but that's kind of the point. You are only there for 1.5 hours, and there's no way you can get that bored in that period. Just unwind and take in the scenery for a few minutes, it will clear your mind. They offer limited food at the concession stand, but you can always bring your own snacks as well. Next time, I will bring a few snacks for us, especially since our trip was over dinner time. The bugs - BEWARE. They don't spray for mosquitos, and as a result, they are everywhere. I didn't know bugs would be a problem in advance, but the cruise provides spray upon arrival for free! I brought my own SPF, but they also provided that as well. The staff is lovely and do anything they can to make your experience as pleasant as possible. This is the perfect low-key day trip, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

Aquila's gives a 30-minute grace period, which helped since the area gets very dark at night and the roads are narrow. I knew ahead of time there would be a lobster food truck and a live salsa band. When you arrive, you check in with the hostess, though there's no clear hostess stand since she's stationed at the end of the bar. The inside was crowded with no available seats, but we weren't there for the band anyway. Our igloo had a heater, but two would've been ideal. They recommend bringing a blanket, which I forgot, but it wasn't too cold--around the high 40s. We tried the "Sweet Wine Flight," which included Sparkling Rosé, Moscato, and white and red wine slushies. The white wine slushy was my favorite. It started raining while we were there, and everyone with fire pits cleared out, so I was extra glad we chose an igloo. They offered a cheese box, but it looked too small, so we stuck to drinks. Our server was polite and brought everything out quickly. Reservations give you two hours, and we had a great time. I like the variety of reservation options they offer. For suggestions: it would be nice to have a real charcuterie board instead of tiny cheese and veggie boxes. The indoor space could also be larger, especially for people coming for the live band, and there are no seats around the bar. Overall, though, it's a cozy spot, and I enjoyed the experience.
