My car's power cut out a couple blocks away from here on my way to a jobsite. Familiar with the area, I walked over to see if they had a jumper pack. They were immediately so friendly and helpful. Carmen Petraglia, the owner walked with me up the hill to get me going. Well, I only made it one block and down it went again... So I walked back and told them. They took it in to look at it right away. Carmen called me back early the next day and told me that it was only a bad battery and that they tested the alternator and the electronics and everything was good to go. The awesome thing was that he only charged me for the battery and nothing else. That was a true shock and pleasant surprise. The bigger surprise came when I was picking my car up. Carmen had already told me he was short staffed, so I didn't think anything of it when he was on the phone with a customer while checking me out. We had already discussed everything with the car prior, so I really didn't think anything of it. Well... 10 minutes later on my way home, he calls me to give me the most sincere apology about being on the phone. I felt super compelled to review them because that level of service simply does not exist anymore. I was moved by it. Petraglia's has been there for a long time and has made it work through word of mouth, not online reviews. There's a good reason they've made it this far. One last thing, I lived right next door to them for 5 years and had a problematic car. I always took it to a certain mechanic nearby that gets the best reviews on here and I was never that impressed with them (they could never get me in in a timely manner and never did a very thorough job). If only I'd have just stopped over to talk with Carmen... I guess what I'm getting at is: don't believe yelp reviews, even this one.
