We had untended flower beds around the pool, overgrown with weeds, saplings and vines and the same for around the parameter of the house. After the heavy snow and winds this winter the yard in general looked like the trees just exploded all over it. I messaged Victor back in April, he came out a few days later for a quote and then he allowed me to itemize the projects that needed doing and tailor the entire order to my budget and what the priorities are. His team came out here and in two days had our lawn and pool area looking the best they've ever looked since we moved here. Everything was cleanly and professionally done. Very friendly and respectful team and Victor was very attentive to our needs and considerate when it came to leaving decisions about specific items to me. I'm definitely making V&P my go-to landscapers for all our future needs! Thank you so much for making this place shine again for my family and I to enjoy this summer. Now if only the rain could let up long enough.

Boston Landscaping is great. When I first moved into my home almost four years ago, Steven worked…read morewith me to figure out a solution for my patio and walkway. He listened to my needs and concerns, and his guys did a great job. Other companies came to do bids and tried to take advantage of me - thinking I was an easy target (youngish woman homeowner in an expensive house). Steven did not. I'm very price conscious and he worked within my budget. Four years later, everything looks as good as the day they did the install. High recommend (from a fussy customer).

A large portion of my yard in Somerville has been all dirt for a year and I was hoping to finally have a lawn this summer. Steves crew came by on Friday at 8:45am to get the job done. I was so happy that they came earlier than scheduled!! They were prepared and curteous and ready to work! because it gave me the rest of the day to take care of other things I needed to do. Steves crew prepped my soil and then began the hydroseeding process. They did a very thorough job and completely covered the lawn without missing any spots. They even sprayed a little extra hydroseed for me on some yellow spots and other small parts that needed some recovery at no extra fee. The price was extremely reasonable and very fair. The work was through, detailed, and they stopped to ask in between seeding to see if I was happy with their work and if there was anything else. I felt like their only customer because the attention and service was so amazing! I'm looking forward to a beautiful and lush lawn and will update my review when it grows:) Thanks so much for the amazing hydroseed and service. I will be hiring you again soon!!

Don't forget your…read morepopcorn! http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1za0f8_frankwalsh_fun Weirdly, there are a few landscapers in the Boston area named Frank Walsh, so I'll be very specific to spare the innocent. The offender is the owner of Walsh Landscaping in Stoneham, MA. This guy: * walsh-landscaping.com * frankmwalsh@yahoo.com * 781.438.0706 * Mobile: 781.844.4626 I guess he does snow removal, hardscaping, masonry, and lawn maintenance too. Anyways, I wasn't impressed from the beginning. He didn't listen. When I spoke, he walked away. Even when he spoke, he walked away! Annoying. I made a rough sketch of the landscape work I was thinking about to help communicate. He wasn't interested. He was a loud blow-hard, too. Always moving around and never engaging in conversation. He had a "king-shit" air about him. I don't remember him asking me any questions. I guess that makes sense since King Shit Landscapers already know what's good for their customers and don't need to ask about their ideas and preferences. He'd start scoffing and bloviating when something I said didn't suit him. He's sloppy. His 3 estimates (one for each area of my property) came with a scrawled "diagram" which looked like it took 30 seconds to draw. Each took me a good 10 minutes to figure out. I gave up on one. This might not indicate a careless work ethic...could be a neurological disorder. I didn't ask. All this gave the impression that he viewed me as a necessary evil...just the idiot with the money. Anyways, I would have kicked him to the curb day one if it weren't for his partner and my wife. His partner the plant supplier listened to me and added his own good ideas. When he thought one of my ideas wasn't hitting the mark (I'm not a landscaper after all) he talked to me about it and had suggestions ready. You know, we COLLABORATED. He acted as if we were in this TOGETHER. Frank's partner behaved like a seasoned professional who wanted and appreciated my business. Revolutionary! So we proceeded with Frankie-boi past the estimate phase. My wife wanted to get the landscaping done since winter was coming and spending time getting different estimates and to find the landscaper who gives you the warm fuzzy takes time. Besides, he was a recommendation. How bad could he be, right? You'll see! The next weekend, we ran into this perfect ornamental tree for super cheap at Northeast Nursery. We'd been looking for months for the right tree so we bought it before someone else did. It was one $250 plant out of a $3-5 thousand dollar project. To update Frank, I left a voicemail for him on Monday morning telling him not to worry about this one tree. He called me back and he completely lost it over this tree! He was so out of control I fired him on the spot. He hung up on me but then I guess he decided he wasn't done so he called me back. I didn't pick up so he continued with his epic freak-out on voicemail...now saved for all eternity. Click here to listen! http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1za0f8_frankwalsh_fun
