Been doing business with Rob for close to 10 years. He is my go to mechanic. First met him when I worked for UPS. My wife had a Range Rover and I was dreading taking it back to the dealership to get work. He did alignment and new tires. Brakes , you name it. Wife now has a Maserati and he works on it as well. Probably one of the rudest places that I have ever dealt with!! The tire prices are OUTRAGEOUS & they have absolutely NO COMPASSION !! I'm just trying to help someone in a bad situation & this jerk quoted me $118 a tire plus tax for a standard tire for a 14 year old car that the owner would be happy just to have used tires on at this point!! I let him know that his prices were high compared to other places & he told me to take the car to the other place then. Obviously this company has all of the customers & money that they need !! I called H & S Tire which is literally a block away & had a much better experience with a very compassionate young man. I explained the situation & he quoted me $165 out the door for TWO brand new tires!! If you are put in a situation where you have to choose between these tire stores, I strongly recommend calling H & S Tire!! The young man there even recommended a place that I may be able to find used tires just in case the $165 was too much, so thank you H & S Tire !! Oh and a message for Rob's Tire--I have 4 cars in my driveway & the last set of tires that I bought for my 2008 VW were close to a $1000 so while you may have not cared about the family that I was trying to help, I am pretty sure you would have loved servicing any of my 4 cars, but at your suggestion, I will take this friend's car & my 4 cars to a more reasonable company!! . read more

Two years ago and with a necessary trip looming our vehicle's engine began to run erratically. As Rob had previously installed new brake lines on another vehicle I took this one to him, too. I explained the situation. Though obviously busy they immediately performed a diagnosis. The problem wasn't serious and the part was available locally. I had the car back running smoothly later that day and at a fair price. Last weekend the same scenario arose. The part wasn't available locally so had to be overnighted but we were taking a different vehicle on this trip anyway. When moving the car into the shop to make the repair the brakes went out. Rob phoned and explained the problem, and that it might be a leaking master cylinder. It wasn't, but I wouldn't have known the difference from hundreds of miles away.
