I called them because of the great review(I think some are from when Sue was across the street). Phone convo was great and I took my truck there. They installed my Trans(let's say Lance put it in and that was that). Picked up my truck drove home. I opened the hood to find my Trans lines cut, dangling around and leaking Trans fluid all over the place. Installation was mediocre at best. My trans cooler was held on by the smallest loose Zip ties. About two extra feet of hose on both sides hanging and clamps on Trans line... NO FLARE. Trans leaking at the yoke..... fast forward to two weeks ago. Brought my truck in 9-08-2026 for the leak that was there when they installed it. They said it was dry and no leak. I begged them to look inside the Tail Shaft housing to see if there was a messed up Yoke Seal.... That's when they threw the "we're the experts" line and we got into an argument. They charged me $375 for warranty work and they NEVER checked the Yoke seal like I asked 9-11-2026. I was P-d off so Monday, 9-14-2026, I called the Trans company and told them my situation.... And what do you know... The Trans Manufacturer told me that MY Transmission is missing...the YOKE SEAL that the S&L Tech knew nothing about, and didn't check like I asked. Trans company sent out the part that I needed and Trans fluid, got it Wednesday 9-16-2026. Trans Company also said take it to a BETTER, CERTIFIED Trans shop. In MY experience it was Shade Tree with a shop. You would get better results going to your local High School shop class. I know there will be a rebuttal.... but I have Receipts...Yes Receipts, Pictures, Videos, Emails some recorded phone convos and a messed up oil stained Driveway that yall can come look at in real time.... today is 9-20-2026...... Avoid this place.

I had it towed directly to Transmission Specialist explained what was going on and was given a cheaper price to fix it and put back together like new. Excellent turn around on time and money, and an excellent warranty on the work performed at no additional cost, stands behind on his work - I repeat I will never go anywhere for transmission work again period. I really appreciated the patio out back, it was cozy and spacious enough to not have to wear a mask and my kid could do her thing (never sit down or sit still). 2.) Clean, spa-like bathroom (I mean, who has clean and rolled wash clothes in lieu of paper towels). 3.) Coffee bar with a ton of options. 4.) They give you a complimentary car wash and if you don't use it that day, you can come back within 10 days to do so. 5.) The technician was extraordinarily polite. I had a few questions and he did a fine job answering them. 6.) They vacuumed the cesspool that is my backseat. Cesspool might be a bit dramatic, but I have a five year old...enough said.
