I smashed into my shower door with the lights off like a jumbo jet trying to land at the Catalina Island airport. I crashed. All those stories you hear about guys who get older who have to urinate are true I guess. Well, I left my shower door open and walked right into it. It was a disaster. I used my trusty yelp app and got several quotes from local glass specialists. Thankfully I went with Rob's Custom Glass! They came out the next day to realign my shower door! The were responsive, thoughtful, and extremely professional. They charge a $125 service call, but I thought that was reasonable under the circumstances. My shower door is back to how it was without having to order parts. I'm surprised, because if a 195 pound dude slammed into me at night, naked, I'd think I'd more adjustments than a few tightening of the screws and some alignment, but that's another story. We recently downsized and moved into a condo/patio home. We wanted a tub enclosure for our guest bath and to replace the glass in our front door. After contacting them and interacting with Chanel in the office and Rob for the install, I can see why so many others have been happy with their work. Chanel is so efficient and great with coordinating Rob to assess the work and create appointments. She is also incredibly responsive and even beyond the end of the day. Chanel was also very good at keeping us updated on the front door glass which was custom and required additional time. Rob is just as good. We were out of the country and he kept me posted on the status of the install and was extremely helpful in coordinating the install with our pet sitter given that we were 9 hours ahead. We couldn't be any happier with the work that both Rob and Chanel did for us. We will definitely call them or refer them for glass needs in the future. I needed a large shower door re-installed after a rug got stuck under it and used the Yelp request to find companies. Chanel reached out very quickly to schedule an appointment. They accommodated my schedule. Rob called this morning because he was running early and was finished before my original appointment time. He was able to replace the stripped screws from the original install with supplies he keeps on his truck, then fixed the bad job that the original installer left. I was really happy to have it over and done with so quickly. He even checked our other shower door that was installed by the previous company just in case it had the same issues. I called a half doz folks from Yelp to get a glass replacement top for our outdoor table. They weren't the least $, but Chanel's prompt and intelligent response make the decision easy, and I used them. Rob came over to laser-measure which was 100% necessary as metal table also was no longer a perfect circle due to tipping over during a windstorm. Not only did Rob bend the table back into shape to fit the glass, but he also bent table legs so we finally have a non-wobbly table! After my ancient shower door came off its hinge I was at a loss as to who to call to fix it, Thinking it would be an easy fix I went on Yelp for referrals. My first said it was so old it couldn't be fixed and proceeded to give me a quote but also tried to upsell me more product. Called Rob's Custom Glass for a repair of a bathroom vanity mirror where the mastic had failed. The 4' by 5' mirror came loose and the only thing that stopped it from crashing to the floor was an adjacent wall towel rack. Apparently whoever installed the mirror previously used a minimum of mastic. Rob quickly repaired and re-attached the mirror. He went above and beyond my expectations by securely re-attaching the towel rack that was damaged when struck by the mirror and cleaning the mirror to a spotless condition.
