First off Jorge was amazing. Just to provide a back story of my situation, I had some IP cameras installed back in 2017 the company I used went out of business. My cameras became offline several times so I was forced to go with another monitoring company AVS. I called them to schedule a service call to get my cameras back online. This company services OC and Los Angeles. I am so glad I found them. I have a very extensive and sophisticated security system and wanted to add an additional camera. They did not do the original work and this was a smaller job. Most contractors are too busy, and the owner, Jorge Alvarez is very busy. But he doesn't make you feel that way. Other contractors wanted a deposit to come out to quote me (to be applied later to the work) or just didn't want to do such a small job. Jorge quoted me on the phone and sent me a written estimate a few hours later. They showed up right on time. They did this work so incredibly efficiently. They had way more tools than others I had used, so it made the job worry free and quick. Very tidy and when I asked them to wrap some connectors they made sure to get me and show me they did it before tucking the wires away.. Jorge is very proud of the fact that he has multiple contractor licenses. He showed me his card and his insurance cards. I think he did this because he is so proud to have earned it and he continually gets licenses. When I asked if he could do some electrical work he said "I don't have an electrician's license, but my friend does". So nice to see people operating within the law and licenses for a change. Usually licensed, bonded contractors cost a lot more. These guys were extremely reasonable and probably the same price as unlicensed guys. What a deal to have total peace of mind when using these guys. They also do audio, video and networking so I will be using them again soon. Oh, and my small job turned into a large payout because my new next-door neighbor asked him to come over for a huge job after seeing his work. Lorex phone support told us our problem could be our DVR (which is out of warranty). Jorge looked at our system and told us he thought it was just a power supply problem. And it was which was a huge (financial) relief! He showed us the difference between the wiring, cables, connectors, etc. he uses compared to the ones included in the boxed systems from Costco and Sam's Club - no comparison!! Robocam was referred to me by the supplier of my previously installed video cameras, I was not pleased with the work of the previous installer. Once contacted Jorge arrived in a timely manner and assessed my situation. In addition to an unsatisfactory installation Jorge found my cameras were defective. He contacted the camera supplier and advised them of the problem, he returned on a Sunday afternoon and removed the defective cameras. Last year my car was broken in to at night and the police had an easy time catching the youngster due to the outstanding quality of the night vision camera that we use to monitor our parking lot. the Officers recognized him and apprehended him within a week. I initially hired a company to install 5 cameras on my 8 camera system after we had a burglary in my neighborhood. The company did a fine job however failed to respond to my repeated telephone calls or email requests to add the 3 final cameras to my system. Assuming they didn't want the work, I found Jorge on Yelp and sent him an inquiry. He responded within a few minutes and we set up an appointment for the following day. A few days later, Jorge notified me that he had matched all my existing cameras and was ready to do the installation. He and his partner worked the entire day hooking up the three cameras to my system and left just before dark. I noticed one of the cameras was not performing to my expectations at night so I called Jorge to ask him about it. He came back to my house the following day at 7:30 at night so he could investigate the problem. Within about 30 minutes, he determined that the camera was picking up an infrared reflection from a pillar a few feet away and decided to move the camera to a better location. He worked for about 2 hours in the dark to move the camera to a better location. Once he completed the job, the camera works perfectly. Jorge told me his desire was to make it right with his customers on all of his jobs. As far as I'm concerned.. Jorge did a great job for me and I'm perfectly satisfied with his work. He arrived on time, was professional and informative on the best location for the system. I explained to him I wanted a system at my home and a relative's as well.
