Joey (Joseph Livelo) was my physical therapist, and he was absolutely amazing in guiding my healing journey. Beyond being highly knowledgeable, personable, and easy-going, Joey takes a wonderfully pragmatic approach to care. He designed a program with exercises that were easy for me to stick to, thoughtfully evolving the routine as I progressed to edge me closer to full recovery. I genuinely looked forward to our weekly sessions! It has now been four months since my last visit, and I still do a set of the exercises Joey gave me every single morning to maintain my physical well-being. Beyond the excellent care from Joey, every single person I interacted with at the West Bay Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Center was super nice and welcoming. As an added bonus, the office has its own parking lot, making visits completely stress-free. If I ever need physical therapy again in the future, I would return to West Bay Sports Medicine in a heartbeat. I highly recommend them!

I've taken classes with nearly all of their instructors (Veronica, Nicole, Ayane, Alyssa, Julie...) and they are each fantastic in their own way! You really can't go wrong here. This is also a top-notch place for physical therapy. I've gotten so much more benefit out of PT here than at previous PT clinics because of the focused, one-on-one attention that you get for the entire length of your session. (No being passed off to a PT aide who doesn't tell you whether you're doing your exercises correctly or not!) Whether you're looking to recover from an injury or build your strength to the next level, I highly, HIGHLY recommend coming to this gem of a place for Pilates and physical therapy.

I didn't have to do the surgery and I can walk up and down stairs. I had never tried physical therapy before, so I really needed someone patient to explain and show me exactly what to do. After I had such fast results my husband went to Dr. Laurel Mines when he needed to recover from hip surgery. So she knows how to heal sports injuries and can get you off of pain killers after surgery by getting rid of knee or hip pain. I trust Dr. Laurel Mines because she knows what she is doing, is able to show you exactly what to do, and gets results to get rid of pain so you can heal faster. If you have a weird injury don't wait because delay doesn't get you well but starting with this doctor gets rid of pain fast. I have lived with hip pain for many years and, as an athlete and health care provider, assumed I…read morekind of understood that this resulted from an old injury to my back that had set me up for permanent compensatory problems in the hip. Or, maybe I had arthritis in my hip and needed a hip replacement. Well, what a surprise I got from my virtual consult with Jeff. He listened carefully to my history of living with these issues, taking notes and asking clarifying questions, then coached me how to use my laptop to show him various maneuvers. The result: a radically better and more nuanced understanding of my problem. It turns out I have weakness in that hip, and that some exercises he showed me will help to resolve this. No hip replacement on my horizon now! I have hope that I will be able to recover motions I had resigned myself to losing, and that my pain will improve. Moreover, he showed me an amazing graphic of the many, many, many other things that impact low back pain besides just issues of muscles and joints, helping me understand that holistically taking care of myself with sleep, stress management, nutrition, positive relationships and such, will also help care for the pains I have. I'm so excited! After decades of living in pain, I feel like I've learned a whole new way of understanding myself and living in my body. Jeff is kind of a holistic movement therapist, analyzing pains in a person's bendy bits through the lens of their whole self. Hands down, the best physical therapist I've ever had!

The admissions team has been very helpful and has guided me from the very beginning. I honestly would have been lost without their guidance and support. Whether over the phone or in person, everyone has been welcoming, compassionate, and always willing to listen to my concerns. What I appreciate most is the communication and teamwork among the staff. I recently had a care plan meeting with the whole care team, with Nanay included in the discussion. It gave me so much reassurance knowing that everyone is working together toward the same goal...her recovery, safety, and overall well being. The staff have been patient with her, encouraging her during rehab, and attentive to her daily needs. As a daughter, it means so much to know that when I am not there, she is surrounded by people who are willing to help, and care for her. I also appreciate how approachable and helpful the staff and management have been. They go above and beyond to answer my questions, guide me through her care, and keep me informed. Caring for an elderly parent can be overwhelming, and having a care team you can trust makes such a big difference. Thank you to everyone at Belmont Healthcare Center for everything you do, not only for my Nanay but for all the residents and their families. We truly appreciate you all. Happy Anniversary! I fully credit my health to the proper training and recovery programs created by Spectrum Orthopedic Sport Therapy. Ken and his team take an incredible amount of pride in understanding the exact needs of every single patient. I noticed that while there were several other patients who were working with Ken for similar back issues, we each had a different program and experience based on our unique cases.
