Upon…read moreinquiry in the seventh week, I was informed of delays attributed to the watch repair specialist. In the eighth week, with no revised estimate provided, I requested the return of my watch. This request was met with a dismissive response, suggesting that watch repair is a "dying art" and that the crystal, though ordered, had no definitive arrival date beyond "soon." Furthermore, I was charged $50 for an estimate, despite my initial visit being for a direct crystal replacement. This resulted in a total charge of $75 for what I perceive as a lack of service and an unprofessional demeanor. I would advise against engaging with this establishment due to their unsatisfactory service.

I feel exceptionally vulnerable in these environments, particularly if the staff make it clear that I am not their typical or ideal clientele. But happily, I left our locally owned Mansour today with a beautiful purchase within my budget after being treated with respect, warmth, and dignity. The young woman at the counter was so kind (and wore an enviable bedazzled mask), and took her time helping me find a piece that was special while still within my price range. She made me feel genuinely welcomed and relaxed. The gentleman who popped by a few times was distinctly knowledgeable about diamonds and their faux counterparts, and was able to help me decipher prices and quality. I am so grateful for their gracious assistance, and will be thrilled to recommend Mansour in the future.

The watch looked amazing and we asked about pricing. We weren't expecting much of a discount for a new 2021 model watch. However they offered a $400 discount right off the bat. To be honest, I wasn't expecting Cornell's to be flexible with pricing at all. I ended up buying the watch from an online retailer a friend had good experience with (and also provided an ever bigger discount).
