You cannot miss it. However, you may miss the road or entrance to view. It's going downwards to get to one side, but the other side is another road that you will easily miss! I had to ask someone. Free. Small parking space. I actually see two barns. I didn't go inside. I saw several photographers there doing their job and didn't want to interrupt them. Lots of room in this well maintained campground. Darren was a great host and helped us out with a…read moreclerical error without any issue. The lake is nice and there is a boat ramp to launch your boat. The lots are very large and spaced out. They could have twice as many lots but then it'd just be another sardine can - this campground was pleasantly different and most welcome.

There are lots of restaurants and bars along the lake with docks, which is pretty nice since the only other option is by car and that takes quite a while considering everything is backroads around the lake. There's a small privately owned island in the center, the owners are super friendly as long as you keep the island clean and clean up the mess you make. So don't ruin it for the other party people. Definitely worth checking out if you have the opportunity. Just mind the no wake zones.

Came here for the very first time to ride the silver comet trail towards Rockmart. The parking lot…read morewas right beside the coot's lake. If you are here for the first time turning from the highway, don't take the first right it the entrance for coot's lake. You have to take the second right for the trailhead. This trailhead has one row for parking spaces. You can refer the pictures for an idea. At the end of the parking lot you have the benches and paved entrance for the trail. As soon as you start out of the trail head you will encounter stop sign in the direction towards Rockmart. Overall wen went with the family and had a good time and in most cases you will end up taking good photos with the lake as background.

Some details: Easy for walking no hills Walkable or rideable for bike lovers or mobile scooter riders. Quiet and quaint area. Natural wildlife are present but not overwhelming The ducks were so adorable Easy parking and it's free Shading along the path I wish they kept the seating a bit more maintained so i could sit instead of standing when I wanted to pause but it is nice over all. There's also a round canopy but it didn't seem well maintained either. Hopefully if you rent space for an occasion you can request a refresh before using this part of the lake. Overall I'd go again!
