They also changed a couple of routine maintenance items that were 19 years old. We cannot recommend Ian's enough and have told family and friends! So, I am a son of an old school mechanic. I am accustomed to mechanics "talking" to me about what…read morethe problem is and finding creative, economical solutions for auto repairs... so maybe I'm a bit of a dinosaur. Took son's vehicle in for issues, charged $140 for diagnosis that was really just "replace single thing ($3k) and by the way, we recommend you do things you didn't even bring the vehicle to us to look at...(additional $2k) and really you should just get a new car since it has 90k miles on it." (On a vehicle that is known for 200-300k miles and consistently one of the top 10 vehicles for reliability) Then it got interesting. After a Google review detailing the above, my son starts to get harassing texts telling him to remove the review. Maybe these guys do good work... Lots of positive reviews. I am not a fan of bullying behavior, but will take the high ground here and simply suggest they work more on effective interpersonal communications with their customers and less on policing the reviews and harassing people who have bad experiences with them.

This place is AMAZING! A trip that I know for a fact would have cost me over $250 at my dealership…read moreonly cost me $65 here. Let me walk you through my experience at Tate Boys with my 2012 Toyota Camry XLE. First off, I'm I 21 year old female college student who knows next to nothing about cars. Some time ago, I ran over one of those cement bumper guard things they have in parking lots. The undercarriage of my car ripped, and the only reason I know that is because it made a horrible grinding sound every time I would go over a speed bump or a pothole or dip or anything. And we live in Tulsa, they're a dime a dozen. Next, my tire gage is automatic, so it tells me when my tires are low and which ones they are. Well, the same ones kept getting low, but they didn't look low, and I would keep filling them up. Even my Dad said they looked fine. So I put that on the list of things to have them look at as well, because I didn't know if it was my gage or my tires, because it was two of them on opposite ends, front right and back left. Finally, my maintenance light blinks on. I can't procrastinate any longer. I have to get this car fixed. The constant grinding, the (!) of low tire pressure, and now this? Forget it, I'll suck up my pride and ask my parents to fix my stupid car. I'll find a way to pay them back. I knew I had to get the oil changed anyway, I'd budgeted for that. But the dealership said that to fix my undercarriage would cost $174.59. And I did not have that kind of money. So I went in to Tate Boys, explained what was going on with the car and that I needed the oil changed, and went to sit down and eat my lunch. I got there around 12:50pm on a Thursday afternoon. They not only changed my oil, they fixed my undercarriage, FREE OF CHARGE MIGHT I ADD, so that it no longer makes that awful noise (and that my dealership was going to charge me $175 for), they also told me I had 2 nails in in two DIFFERENT TIRES, and they repaired them for me, also free of charge, and sent me on my merry little way. Y'all. 21 year old female who had no idea what she was doing. They obviously could have taken advantage of me, but instead, they showed great integrity and they changed my oil, fixed my car, and basically said "We got you, it's on us today." I don't know about you, but THIS is the kind of place that I want to go to when I'm in trouble with my car

Others didn't want to touch it . All of them recommended that I have AAA Frame and Jeremy Taylor look at it. Upon meeting them I was sure I wanted them to fix my truck. They knew immediately where to get new bed panels and listened to exactly what I wanted. Here's the problem. They over delivered and came in under budget. My truck is beautiful. I bought it brand new in 1990. It was never this nice. The paint is like liquid mirror. It is flawless. I can't believe it's the same truck. If I knew it could look like this, I would have wrecked it years ago. It's so nice I really don't want to use it for truck stuff. My neighbors can't believe it's the same truck. Initially, I was going to self-pay and deal with the insurance company myself. They weren't going to pay to have it repaired the way I wanted it, and just wanted to be done with it. Bad idea. Enter Kerri Taylor, owner and "She Who Must Be Obeyed!" In less than a day, and after I, like a dummy, already signed a release, got them to pay for the whole thing!! This lady saved me $$$$. From start to finish they were friendly, professional, and concerned about doing it right and taking care of their customer. I am so grateful to them and their staff. One more thing: ignore the neighborhood. They are a diamond in the rough. Please go see them, talk to them. You'll be so glad you did.
