What a horrible run organization. I signed.a contract in November of 2021 with a swim date of June 2022. They broke ground in January of 22 and made a horrible mess. They worked on my pool maybe 1 or 2 days a month and NEVER finished the job. David the job superintendent would seldom return a call or text and was never helpful, very short like I was only a customer and not important. Marie in scheduling I think tried to be helpful in letting me know when someone should be coming to do something, but was derailed by something else behind the scenes. She would let me know a date but never update me when things changed. Which was almost every time they came out. They had trouble meeting city of Euless building guidelines and couldn't get inspections correct. David seemed too busy to mess with my pool or inspections. Equipment was ordered November 15th 2021 by what they told me, but in June 2022 it didn't seem to be on hand. I had already been told the equipment was in their warehouse in April. So I guess they used it on someone else's pool and reordered mine. So we lost another month waiting on the equipment. I went to their office to talk in person to the person in charge. Another David, he was very unhappy that a customer would come to his office and interrupt his day. He told me how they had done everything as contracted for including sending me his timeline that I never received. When he checked the email it was sent to the wrong address even after I had had emails with Marie in scheduling. But his system was wrong. David should not be running an ice cream stand. His customer skills are zero, and seems like his organization and delegation skills are also zero. They finally got the pool running about August 8th. Now just think about having a new that you can't run the pool sweep for the first 30 days so the plaster can cure, and them not provide a vacuum. So after spending $88,000 I had to go out and buy a pool vacuum. My pool is not very large due to the yard size and no hot tub or elaborate features but cost $88,000 and get the worst service and attitude possible. As of today in September they still have not come out and finished 1 small item they said they would repair a month ago. I BUILT THIS HOME IN LESS TIME THAN THEY TOOK TO BUILD A SIMPLE POOL. read more

I've been waiting until our project was complete to write this review. We just had a very small fiberglass pool installed. I was SO nervous b/c it's such a big investment and you never know what could go wrong. Let me just say, this experience FAR exceeded my expectations. We worked with Nick on the design and sales process. He was AMAZING. Super responsive to every single email/text I sent him (which was A LOT over the course of several weeks). He was super knowledgeable and friendly - not a "salesy" salesperson at all. The construction process was awesome. It was insanely fast - we had a big crew here so I know quality was not sacrificed - there were just a lot of hands on deck. The owner, Ron, was even here on-site for the installation. Bret was our SI for the project- he was super cool and was also very responsive to everything and made sure his crew got the jobs done. We had a couple of things that needed repair, which is to be expected, and they didn't skip a beat with the repairs. They were super prompt and took care of everything in a timely manner. Karyn was the Construction Coordinator. I never got to meet her in person but all of my interactions w/ her over the phone & email were great! She checked in often to double-check everything was going well. I seriously can't believe how great this experience was. I kept thinking - surely something is going to go wrong - but nope! Roberstson's built our pool 9 years ago, loved our pool for most of the time and they were always willing to come out when we had any issues. last year (year 9), we had a rust stain appeared we were told it would of been under warranty but it was caused by us not taking proper care of the pool. They couldn't explain what we did to cause it and we service our pool all the time and check the chemicals regularly. But never had any issues before with Robertsons so we paid $4000 to repair this one spot about 6"x6" last year March 4th. This year we uncovered our pool March 9th to find the rust was back very same spot. Called them and was told it only had a 1 year warranty. Explained to them the pool was covered all winter and obviously that did reappeared over night. was told it doesn't matter if it was one day or one minute after midnight it's not covered read more

Well my name isn't Dave if he's calling me that. I never recieved a call or an email. If he did call he didn't leave me a message and there was no follow-up email. If he still had everything he can try calling me again and we'll figure out what happened. I hadn't had any problems with the other companies getting back to me. I'm sorry he finds this "unbelievable" but maybe he is getting his contact information confused with another person but he should have had my correct email considering I sent him photos and lot plans as well. I can gladly post screen captures of my email thread and voicemail box to show you that I hadn't heard from him since my first correspondence with him. Using Robertson is a bad decision that will haunt me for a lifetime. Over zealous sales people making commitments that construction can't meet, terrible communication, no follow up or ownership. If you decide to use Robertson, please understand that whatever they tell you will be done, will not happen 80% of the time. Not sure where the breakdown in their process is, but for some reason they say they will show up to do something on a given day, but never show up. No call, no explanation. I understand that delays happen and things come up, but I don't understand why you can't communicate with the customer and frame an honest picture of the situation. We have had our pool for almost a year now and are already having tile fall off, we have a leak (that they won't acknowledge. If you have to put an hour's worth of water in your pool every other day, you have a leak, it's not evaporation!!) AND we have yet to have our final inspection done. We are stuck with them now, but if you are looking for a pool builder, recommend you explore other options first. read more

My husband and I talked to many pool companies and made our final decision with Robertson. I highly recommend them as we were both happy with the quickness, professionalism and willingness to work with us. We did have some bumps in the road but they were quickly resolved. We recently had a complete remodel of our 20+ year old pool. Out of the 3 companies who came out to look at the job, Robertson was the only one who got back to us with a quote so we went with them. Big picture: They did a good job. The pool looks great and - as far as we can tell at this point - they did quality work. Small picture: Communication skills are almost non-existent. For 2 months, we rarely knew when/if someone was going to show up. Random people would just appear in our yard - not even coming to the door to let us know they were there - and only ONCE did we receive advance notice that a crew was coming. When the work was done, we asked them to do the service on the pool for the first few weeks - to make sure the chemistry was correct, etc - only to be informed that we were out of their service area and, even though we just spent a very large amount of money with them - they refused to make an exception to ensure that their work was well maintained in the first few critical weeks. Wish we could whole heartedly recommend but their customer service is in severe need of an overhaul. read more

We had our pool built about 3 years ago and recently found a leak. Gave them a call they were professional and polite. The service department ladies handling the call listened to all my concerns and made sure they answered all my questions prior to hanging up. We were extremely pleased to find out we are covered through their warranty, even more reason to be satisfied with Robertson Pool! This is my third custom pool build in the DFW area. By far, Robertson Pools is the best for my money. From the professional design thru the start up orientation, their staff has been friendly, knowledgeable throughout the process. Their unique craftsmanship resulted in a beautiful pool. The equipment and installation is high quality as well. There were no surprises on the budgets , and there were no additional fees or modifications to the contracted design and specifications . My project required a great deal of coordination with third party utility contractors and Robertson Pools managed all of as a courtesy. I highly recommend ! read more

We just moved to Frisco, one of the main reasons was to build a pool and we needed the backyard space. We went in to Robertson, ready to talk about the plan. We spent TWO hours with KEVIN DUTRA. We actually really liked the plans we came up with, discussed budget etc. But guess what? Kevin ghosted us. I tried calling him, my wife also called and left messages, we also sent him an email. I guess they don't need $100k in business. So glad we decided on Hauk Pools. The professionalism there has been fantastic. Do your research! This contractor came highly recommended but to say the least they were horrible with terrible follow up. Our project should have taken less than two months. I took over five months and it was never completed fully. This is with numerous calls and promises that it would be done. Now they want there money a year later. Buyer Beware!!!!! We are building our pool with Robertson pools and we are getting to the conclusion that we made the wrong decision to go with them. They don't communicate or respond to calls and emails. We've had instances where nothing was done on our pool for weeks and nobody responded to our email or calls to let us know what was going on. First of all, please take the negative reviews with a HUGE grain of salt! KEVIN DUTRA was awesome, professional and very attentive. Everyone makes mistakes, we are only human, but to post extremely negative reviews without giving the salesperson / company a chance to resolve a potential issue issue is wrong. My pool and outdoor kitchen are beautiful, a mirror image to the custom 3D drawing and video that we created and It was completed in a very timely, professional manner! The project has been completed a year now and I've only had on small plumbing issue which they repaired the day after I called their service department. Pricing was extremely competitive, and you know you get what you pay for, they use only the top branded equipment and materials. 80% of their work is done in house by people that have worked for Mr. Robertson, the owner, over 35 years. It makes a huge difference if the pool company farms out their work or has their own crews. I've had the pleasure of getting to know almost everyone at Robertson pools, they are all extremely nice and helpful. The quality of their work is second to none. Worst mistake I ever made was going with Robertson Pools to build my pool. They take your money then run. My pool is under warranty and they refuse to come fix their shabby work. Never got around to having them build a pool. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that you avoid this company. I tried for over 3 months now to just get them to give me a design and an estimate. Every fourth email or so, I would get a message from their general manager - Dave - saying "hey we are really busy but we will provide this to you within a few days..." 3 months later - nothing. I have spent all of 5 minutes on the phone with a designer in the pat 3 months. I finally contacted the office and asked to speak to the owner. I was told that the best person to speak with was Dave - who seems to be part of the problem. The lady that I spoke with was very nice and asked me to send her an email and she would make sure that it got attention. That was a few days ago - and as expected no response. If a company is this bad during the sales part - then I can only imagine what they are like after sales support. Below is my email that I sent to them - do business with them at your own risk! "Hello. Thank you for taking my call today. It is what it is, but I first reached out to Robertson end of July 2020 - it took a few weeks for you to get back to me (totally understood with the crazy rush of pool building). After 2 weeks - I received a response - and I in turn responded with all questions asked + my property survey. 1-2 weeks went by with no word - so I reached out - I was then assigned Kevin. Kevin called me that same day - but then he said that he would stop by the property as it is on his way home and get back in touch with me. After about 3 weeks of not hearing back - I contacted Dave and Kevin - no response. Finally at the end of September - Dave emailed me saying that Kevin stopped by my house again (umm...no communication to me about that - so kind of question it). But in any case - you all would have something to show me within the next few days. I even went so far as to send a diagram of a very rough idea of what I was looking at. Contact Dave after a week to check on the status - no word. So at this point - it has been over 3 months, I have spoken to a designer for all of 5 minutes. Still have no design or really anything other than me pounding my head on the table. I am totally not trying to be difficult - but I simply can't believe that I have been begging for a company to return my call so that I can then turn around and pay a lot of money to have them build a pool?" read more

I have used them since April 2017 for service and maintenance. Everything was going well until I came home after a week of vacation to see black algae in my pool. When I called to ask about this they starting coming up with all of these issues that have never been mentioned in the last 16 months that they have been servicing the pool. Every time something was recommended to be repaired I agreed without hesitation. The end result is they have been servicing my pool for 16months and I now have black algae. read more

Great design and great installation experience but if you need service, put on your patience pants... numerous calls, numerous people come to see, numerous promises to handle a problem but here we are on the threshold of summer and NO RESOLUTION. Friendly but grossly ineffective in my opinion. I've recommended many of my colleagues who are also moving in from CA but I think those days are over. read more

Contacted them to come out and quote us a pool and spa. They never showed up for their appointment. We called Ron and the office a half hour after the said appointment and they have yet to call us back. That was yesterday at 8 am. Apparently they don't need new business. read more

Contracted with Robertson Pools on July 22, 2016 for the installation of a diving board. Was told it would be no issue. Paid $259 deposit at this time. We also asked if one of our pool deck fountain jets could be repaired and the salesman stated that it would be no problem and no additional cost. 2 weeks after deposit we contacted the company to see when work would begin. They stated 2 weeks. Approx 4 weeks passed and we called yet again to ask about a timeline. We were told work would begin within a couple of days. Finally, a rep with the company shows up and takes measurements. He seemed very put out about having to be at our home and basically told me no to every question that I had. He said that the pool deck would not be removed because it couldn't be matched. It's simple washed aggregate. I find that hard to believe. His demeanor was that of an agitated rattlesnake. So, he leaves without stating a true construction start time and I have very bad feelings about the ability of this company to complete the job. We decided to cancel the contract after wasting 55 days of summer and asked for a refund of the deposit. We were told that we would receive a partial refund due to a restocking fee. This company may build some nice pools but I will never recommend them to anyone. Update.... after speaking to rep, they agreed to refund entire deposit. read more

The whole process was so smooth and proffessional that frankly I was suprised, as so few companies have the same high standards as Robertson does. The salesman was fully focused on helping us get the pool we wanted and not trying to pressure sell or bait us into buying one. During the whole process EVERY employee was professional, friendly, and considerate, easy to communicate with at any time, and readily available to answer any questions or concerns we had. I built a pool recently with Robertson and am very pleased with the final product. Not everything went exactly perfect, but it was an extensive construction project. I was most impressed with the skill of the crews they have. I'm glad that they have such seasoned tradesman. I've since seen other pools built nearby by competitors and the quality of design and craftsmanship does not compare. I would suggest patience through the process. Roberson appears not able to meet plan for completion (found out after calling why we haven't had anyone come out). Currently at 16 weeks since contract signed. 8 weeks since we broke ground. All that is left is clean up, sprinklers, and plaster. Not a big deal but its been a couple weeks since anything has been done and I was told it will be another week before they start cleanup. Essentially I was told we wont be done on time and they wont be out to clean up fast food trash, empty bottles and sharp objects including saw blades, not good when you have small children. Keep in mind no weather delays and this is the off season. If you plan to go with this company you have been warned. read more

I had been with them for about 31/2 years. Mostly good service up until about 6-8 months ago. The cleaner who had been with us for awhile left and quality of replacements varied. I noticed about 3 weeks ago that instead of regular servcie on Wednsday,it had been moved to Friday. Finally I called on morning of April 12th,approximately 10:00am, and said I had a complaint. Main complaint was move to Friday,but recurring problem since regular guy left was the failure of service guy to place the door hanger on the door! In spite of being told, a sucession of guys insisted on putting"the Doorhanger" on the table or under a rock on the ground a foot from the door. The dog would immediately eat said doorhanger. I was told a manager would call back shortly. The next morning around 10:00am(24 hours later) I called again,was told someone would called me right back. Finally at 4:00pm on Friday April 13th,I called to terminate my service. Almost one week later still no communication from Robertson Pools which leads me to believe that they could care less about their customers. So be it. I am done with them. Nine years ago we purchased a pool from Kevin Dutra with Robertson Pools. Everything went according to expectations from the construction to clean up they did a fantastic job. Eight years later we had an issue with the Sundek overlay. The overlay became separated from the concrete that was poured during the construction. The warranty for all decking is 12 months from the time of install. I called Kevin Dutra and he stopped by to view the decking and grabbed a sample of the overlay. He told me he would be in touch after speaking with Mr. Robertson. Two weeks later, Kevin let me know that the General Manager, Mr. Angelo wanted to meet with me. He told me that the concrete that was poured was mixed wrong and they were going to fix it. To fix it required them to jack hammer the entire patio (450-500 sqft), repair the plumbing under the old concrete, re-pour the patio, reapply the Sundek, and replace the Deck-O-Seal. AT NO CHARGE! Robertson Pool Company is the best of the best and it starts at the top with Mr. Robertson! read more

Do not waste your time or money with Robertson Pools in Frisco. We signed a pool contract with them 273 days ago and our pool still does not meet city code. They claim to have all in house crews but when they get busy, sub-contractors do the work. Sub contracted digging crew had to come out 3 times to dig it right. Contract was for 6 feet deep and they only dug for 5 1/2. Luckily, I measured and caught their mistake. Flagstone coping was the worst, with uneven overhangs and flaking stones, that continue to chip away. They have a big issue with communication and work quality. Days and weeks can go by with no responses to email or phone calls. Frisco office is just sales. Once you get into the construction phase you have to deal with the office in Coppell. Everyone kept telling us they build a good pool and in the end you will be happy. They may have built good pools in the past but their current workforce needs help. You are just a number to them.
