A very trustworthy and compassionate veterinarian. My dachshund was ripped open by another much larger dog. I was certain we would have to put him down. This vet was honest about his chances but thought very much that he would be fine. They controlled his pain and sewed him up, allowing me to visit as much as I liked throughout the days he was hospitalized. He recovered amazingly and quickly too and is so happy and runs as if nothing happened. They offer laser therapy for pain and faster healing which is a nice option. Also, I was expecting a massive bill, as my dog was an emergency admit and has to be worked on immediately and spent just over a week with them. It was not an outrageous bill and there's much to be said for a hometown very versus those emergency pet clinics closer to Nashville. read more

The parking is good. They have a small lot but its adequate. I think this is because they seem to do a good job with scheduling. We didn't wait to long for our appt. The front desk staff were efficient. The pricing here is very different from what I've experienced in any other state. (I've lived in 7 and my dog has lived in 4). This is the only place to charge for bringing him in and every other service is added on. So, $65 to bring him in, $80 for the exam, + any meds that could be needed. Also, upselling is aggressive here so beware. The vet seems knowledgeable. Overall not a bad experience, just costly each time I've been. read more

Wow. So first visit I made an appointment for a new puppy exam and vaccination. I neglected to ask for prices. I get there and you have to call from your car to check in. (Which is fine) Then they come out and take your pet inside, but you can't go in with them. She gets her DHPP vaccine and it's $47 and no exam. So she apparently wasn't on the schedule for the exam I asked for and I get charged an absolutely outrageous amount for a vaccine. The same vaccine is $27 at Greenbrier. That's $20 less! I'm actually glad I didn't get an exam because I wouldn't have been able to go in and even see it anyway. Plus who knows how much that would have cost if the vaccine was $47! Won't be returning. read more

I am currently a receptionist at Roberton County Animal Clinic. However, I will soon be leaving the clinic not because I didn't love the clinic or the Docots especially Dr. Simon. I'm only leaving due to the hour or more travel to work each day. This groups is amazing, most who are there love with all they have, I see it everyday with my own eyes. I'll miss them so very much and mostly I'll miss the clients. I'm sorry I had to part, not because of you and your furbabies but because of the travel I had each and every day. Ill carry you all in my hearts and one thing you can count on is Robertson County Animal Clinic Loves you and your furbabies. I'll miss so much about each and everyone of you! read more

My cat suddenly passed. I brought her here for cremation and the tech that helped me was so kind and empathetic. They never met me before, we just moved in the neighborhood. She consoled me and the staff even mailed me a sympathy card. THANK YOU! read more

We've taken all of our babies here for years now and they've always been nothing but friendly and attentive to any situation. We have Corgi litters once a year, this year was a first litter for our new mama and she ended up having to have an emergency C-section. They did such a great job of communicating with us throughout the surgery and we had 6 beautiful pups. We also just had our first litter of Mainecoon Kittens, and as always they were fantastic in getting all of their shots, microchips, and everything else that goes into that done. We recently lost one of our rescue cats due to a medical condition we didn't know he had (there was no way to know he had it) right as we had our litter of Mainecoons, and we wanted to make sure that it wasn't anything transmissible to the kittens. In addition to the sadness of losing a pet unexpectedly, we were very concerned about all of the new babies. Not only was the entire staff supportive on a logistical level of referring us to the best places in the greater Nashville area to get a necropsy done, they were just as supportive and sympathetic on an emotional level. They've always treated us like family. We usually see Dr. Katie Simon for most things and we absolutely love her. We've also occasionally taken our cat to get groomed here and they were able to brush him out really well (he will NOT let us brush him so they are a godsend). It's always been a great experience and we're glad they're so close to us. The prices have also always been great, especially for surgeries and things like that. They had to do double ACL surgery on one of our dogs a while back and charged us about half of what most places would have charged for something like that. We've always been very happy with prices, especially considering the great staff that comes with them. Would highly recommend! -Dogwood Farms TN read more

We have been bringing our animals here for a while, and noticed they are very expensive, but we were satisfied with their service, until today. We have a 16 year old yorkie, that has a bladder infection/issues. I was given a prescription and it helped with the issues. I called in to get a refill and explained it worked I am out and I only need a refill. No, per the tech and that I need to bring my dog back in for another set of $200-300 tests for them to tell me what, same shit. Let's just say I feel they are only out for one thing $$$$$, I will not be taking my 6 animals there anymore. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. read more

Frustration Overload!!! Someone needs to open an animal clinic in Springfield!!! This animal clinic is impossible to get into with your sick animal. I have two doodles and they are like my children. If you have plenty of time to wait and be put on their limited schedule then the care you will receive is OK, I guess, but be ready to pull out a lot of money and have a long wait. They definitely need to hire more help and train their employees to accommodate sick animals and customers better than they do. I have a new puppy that is sick and needing to see someone today and even though I'm an established customer at the clinic I was advised to take her to an emergency clinic - that they just couldn't work her into their busy schedule. I am also waiting to have my other dog groomed - a two month waiting list and my friend called and got an appointment within two days. She even forgot her first appointment and called the next day and was told they had a cancellation and that she could just bring her in that day. I was furious knowing that I have been waiting since early April to get my baby groomed. I ended up taking her to another groomer, Pet Salon on Madison St. in Clarksville and they did an amazing job. As for my sick little baby I made an appointment in Pleasant View with Wildthings Animal Clinic, it took me an hour to get into see someone - as it should be. This clinic is new and they have a great staff and great vets. If you are having problems with Robertson County then I suggest you tell them so long and find other options. read more

terrible, terrible, just plain terrible new excuses for tests on an aged old dog that just needs meds to stay out of pain.. continue to do the wrong tests when we can get her in. only about the money they can suck out of you. for the longest time I really thought it was about the animals. I have spent thousands of dollars there, but they will not get one more cent out of us, and I highly recommend that you consider any other alternative possible, before you utilize this clinic. Read the other negative reviews here, we are all saying the Same thing. There is a trend here people! read more

Wow, we have used this Vet clinic for several decades with many different fur babies. We have been pleased throughout the years. Sadly, our experience today, wiped out any positive experiences we've ever had with them. We have a very senior large breed dog, that requires pain and anti inflammatory medications. Today I called for a refill and was told it would be ready for pickup today. My husband actually picked up the medication and it was the wrong one. This is the second time in a row. When he went back in to tell them of the error. They said without bloodwork, they could not prescribe them to her. In addition they could not get her in tomorrow for the bloodwork. Then my husband remembered she had bloodwork in May. They said, they had not done the right bloodwork in May. Please understand our precious girl cannot walk without this medication. We are trying to keep her healthy until her birthday in August. They would not even prescribe a couple of pills to get her through until Monday. When I called them, I knew they would not want our girl to suffer over the weekend. I felt perhaps there was miscommunication. Heartbreakingly so, it was not. They basically said, she would have to be without pain control until next week. Folks this is unacceptable and sadly seems to be the way this Vet clinic is trending, per other reviewers. So for our three babies, we will be finding a more caring and passionate Vet! read more

I can't say enough about the staff at the clinic. We had an emergency and had to board our dogs and our daughters at a moments notice. They were great and took all the dogs and were very kind and helpful. While we were gone I called to check on my dogs and again they were great so I asked about getting my dogs face, feet and fanny done while they were there. At the groomer I used (before the pandemic) that meant a bath, face trimmed, nails cut, and glands done. They explained to me that theirs doesn't include all of this so that I should go with a full grooming. I even talked to Nicole the groomer and told her to do the full grooming. (which was priced way more then my other groomer but it was convenient) When I get my dogs (both yorkies) their body had not been touched. Their nails were trimmed, around their eyes were trimmed and their inside ears were trimmed, the top of my one dogs head is chopped all up and looks terrible, the other ones face is still very full. To me this is not a full groom so I called to talk to Nicole and she was already gone so she called me back the next day and I told her they weren't groomed. She said that I should have explained I wanted their body trimmed and since I didn't she didn't do it. I have never taken my dogs for a full groom and had to tell the groomer to groom all of them. She offered for me to bring them back the next week and she would do their bodies. I work full time and had been out on an emergency so I couldn't do that, so I ended up having to bathe both dogs (if they were bathed they used a perfume shampoo that was overpowering) then I had to trim their faces and body myself. The top of my one dogs head there is nothing I can do about until it grows out. I will not take them back and have them groomed there again. I will continue to use their boarding and vet services. read more

I brought my senior cat here and because she wasn't eating. Just by looking in her mouth they told me it was her teeth and she needed a dental cleaning/extraction. None of the other symptoms I told them pointed to her teeth, but I went ahead with the dental because what do I know. I was happy to get rid of her bad teeth because I had been meaning to do it (so expensive and I was trying to save up) but I wanted to do it after we diagnosed her correctly and she put weight on. After the tough surgery (my cat is 15) there were no calls as to how she's doing, nothing. Very cold. Well another visit later she was diagnosed by Dr. Raines, who was very nice and knowledgeable. It felt like he cared and took the time to hear me. He's the only positive about this place. The other thing is it is too expensive. I know that whoever owns the place sets the prices. Long story short, save your money and go to grassmere animal hospital. I was bringing my cat there before I moved to Robertson county but I was thinking it was too far. I will now just make the drive. Even the oravet treats I get my dog at grassmere are $15 for a 30 count. At Rcah they are $30 for a 15 count!!!! Double the price! And one single dose of flea medication for a toy breed dog is $28. I will not give anymore money to this practice. I feel like they think they can charge whatever they want because there are less vets in town and that is just sad. read more
