I've had so many bad experiences with different companies, providers, and offices here in Clarksville. Lately it feels like accountability and genuine customer care have been forgotten. Anyone who lives here knows how hard it can be to find quality care, and that reality has been weighing heavy on me. I already had a stressful few weeks working through welcome season within the healthcare organization I work for, seeing firsthand how simple human errors can trickle down and impact people. Today, that stress collided with a very serious situation involving my dog's care. I felt completely hopeless. Every possible outcome ran through my mind, and I broke down. The level of care shown by the staff meant more to me than I can put into words. They didn't just treat me like a customer -- they genuinely cared and did everything they could to make things right and ensure my fur baby was taken care of. In a time when I was starting to believe good people and great customer care no longer existed, they proved me wrong. I will forever remember the two amazing men working at the Sango location that day. You brought me hope when I was losing it. I've never had a bad experience here. At every visit, they take the time to break everything down and explain it thoroughly. Even when my husband brings our dog in, they go above and beyond to educate him -- far beyond what most would consider "just part of the job." This place is rare. Compassion, education, accountability, and true care still exist here, and I am beyond grateful. read more

Went in to find out prices for my new dobi ill be bring home in may. Not only did I get 0 answers from the super bland front desk girl that showed 0 care for my Lil guy but I also asked in regards possible posting his hear at first. She stated we dont crop, and I had to restate I wanted posting not cropping. Nobody there would do it except for an "associate" what ever that means because she has a dobi. Don't let them schedule you with Dr Glazenear. If your dog needs anything on a day other than Monday or Tuesday she's not available. My new shelter dog tested positive for giardia and needed meds, but I had to have a second vet visit (and pay for a second vet visit) in order to get the meds. Otherwise they've been pretty good. read more

New to Clarksville so just picked them at random. Sadie is an older GS and doesn't care for other animals but they took time to get her in a room to wait so she wouldn't be stressed out. They also allowed us to be with her during the nail trimming which we highly appreciate Very professional and took the time to explain everything and gave us alternatives. read more

I do not recommend this vet office. We took our 10 year old dog here for euthanasia because he had cancer and strokes. It had gotten to the point where he no longer had quality of life, so we made the difficult decision to lay him to rest. They put us in a room right next to the front office (which we later learned that they never should've put us in that room according to the owner). The entire time we're in there going through this process, we hear the front desk employees laughing and making jokes. Usually, vet offices will light a candle and ask for respect from customers so that the grieving family can have some privacy. There was no respect from the employees there. And then the actual vet came into the room to do the euthanasia. She said so herself that "border collies and high anxiety dogs might take more of the sedative so what I have might not be enough." She gave him what she had, and it wasn't nearly enough for him. So instead of being able to peacefully go in his sleep, he laid there thrashing around and literally screaming. The vet left the room to draw up more sedative, but the reality is that she knew it probably wasn't enough and should've brought more to begin with. So his last moments were full of pain and suffering instead of him being able to die peacefully. I was sad to see a one star review when this Vet and their staff are top-notch. Taking care of our fur-babies is expensive but I would not look for a cheaper Vet. My fur-babies get excellent care when I take them in. Perhaps the lady, commonly referred to as a "Karen", shouldn't own a pet. Keep up the great service! I love you all. read more

NOT THERE WHEN YOU NEED THEM In July 2023 we were running out of our dog's Simparica TRIO medication and checked into how much it would be to get it from the vet. We then checked into getting it online and discovered that it would be over $100 less, so we ordered it. A couple of weeks later we checked why we didn't receive it and found out that they were waiting on a response from our vet, SANGO VETERINARY HOSPITAL, since it requires a prescription. That should not be a problem because our dog had a Wellness Checkup in May and was up-to-date on all her shots. We then called SANGO VETERINARY HOSPITAL only to find out that there was a big problem. They weren't going to approve it !!! They proceeded to tell us that the doctor that had been seeing our dog is out on maternity leave and won't be back until October, and other doctors cannot approve a prescription without seeing the dog. Therefore there will be a $60 charge to physically see the dog and write a prescription. THE BOTTOM LINE HERE IS THAT THEY WANTED US TO PAY $60 FOR A VET VISIT BECAUSE THEIR VET WAS UNAVAILABLE, RATHER THAN WAIVE THE FEE DUE TO THEIR PROBLEM!!! THIS WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND WE IMMEDIATELY CHANGED VETS. read more

I called Sango Veterinary Hospital this morning after finding a cat that had obviously suffered a traumatic event and was in desperate need of emergency treatment. After being placed on hold for over five minutes, the person on the phone told me that "there is one emergency animal hospital in Clarksville off Wilma Rudolph but it is has weird hours, all others are in Nashville." I asked why emergency care is listed on their website if they don't actually provide it to which she replied "Well, we do provide emergency care for our clients' pets." THANK GOODNESS for Eastview Veterinary Clinic! They were so warm, welcoming, and treated this sweet animal with dignity. Unfortunately, the cat could not be saved but at least they were able to ease her suffering and let her pass in peace. If you want to entrust the care of your fur babies with folks who care more about money than their well-being, then Sango Veterinary Hospital is the right place. Sango Veterinary Hospital is really great if you can get an appointment and really meh otherwise. My dog went in for an allergy appointment when we first moved to Clarksville, and they were able to book her pretty quickly -- within the next week. The staff were thorough and nice, and I felt like we were in good hands. Weeks later, I called to make an emergency appointment due to some concerning symptoms, and the receptionist never asked what the emergency was, completely lacked empathy, and told me the next appointment was a month later. One. month. I was just flabbergasted. We ended up taking her to Eastview where she received amazing care that day. So, will I go back to Sango Veterinary Hospital? For scheduled, foreseeable appointments, maybe. I liked the doctors and felt like they took care of my pup. For emergencies? I'll probably stick with Eastview. read more

Amazing! Extremely knowledgeable Veterinarian and staff! We had to get our recently rescued bunny Cookie neutered and weren't sure of his age. He had a more difficult surgery due to his age so they kept him longer for monitoring after the surgery. They were kind and compassionate to Cookie and to us when we called later with questions. The cost of care was very reasonable. They didn't charge "exotic" prices even though he is an exotic pet. Highly recommend! read more

Let me start off by saying our family is brand new to Clarksville. I am appalled by the way I was treated on the phone by Alex. I called in as I was having an emergency with my dog, and was told, "Umm, sorry we can't see you because we're not accepting new patients." I completely understand that, but what is absolutely unacceptable as she did not even give me any options to other vets in the area to take my dog to, knowing I was in an emergency situation and brand new to the area. She Is completely unqualified IMO to be a Receptionist and I hope no one else ever has to be treated like this in an emergency situation...with total disregard. Update: I did receive a call from the owner's husband and Practice Manager who apologized. He stated he would have retraining with Reception and assured me that this is not how their Veterinarian practice is run. He was very nice and apologetic. This place is amazing!! My cat Livvy was attacked by our foster cat Diego and was in pretty rough shape. This happened on a Sunday and I was able to get a same-day appointment to get Livvy looked at. The vets, assistants, and receptionists were all super friendly, helpful, and explained/answered all my questions. Livvy has gone back a few times since for follow up care and getting more antibiotics and all of those interactions have been great! This place is reasonably priced and gives Military/first responder discounts! I'm glad I found this place and they were able to help my fur baby! If your furry friend is in need of emergency care or routine care, I highly recommend this place! **I will say it was a little hard to find the first time because you can see the sign from the highway but the hospital itself is behind the dollar general. read more

Long story short, we ended up getting in here to have our ferrets put to rest after they had gotten unwell suddenly. The staff and Vet were so kind to us and our boys. My husband and I were so upset and the vet (I wish I knew her name) was so kind. I'll never forget holding my boys after they were gone and her comforting me and petting them. She made me feel like she was grieving with us and for that I'm grateful. read more

Really good place to take your fur babies. The vets I've seen have been caring and patient. That said, I took my 2 shelter kittens for their "free" rabies boosters and was charged $85/each for the vet to look at them, which I didn't request. The brief exam lasted less than 5 minutes for both cats. So--good care but beware of unwanted charges. read more

We love Sango!!! We drive 40 minutes from our house each way just to take our Pepper to Sango. The vet is super patient every time we visit, even if we have a list of 20 questions... they really take their time with our senior dog Pepper, and they have caught issues before we even noticed them, and we are hyper-aware of the needs of our beloved dog. This place is amazing. Sometimes it is so true, that all reviews are NOT accurate. I just adopted a puppy last week and was not told that he had worms! Poor puppy was miserable and throwing worms up and out the other side as well. Sango vet was able to get me in same day and get Hades a nausea medication along with a great de-wormer! He stop having symptoms and vomiting/pooping worms 2 days following. He has had no signs or symptoms since and they even got us scheduled for his next set of shots. I love this place! The vegetarian and her husband are super sweet and helpful, along with the assistant. read more

If I could post a zero I would! They do not care about animals in emergency situations. My animal was bleeding, had to keep pressure on the area, and I was told they could put in a crate until the afternoon as vets were not available. I went to Tiny Town Animal Hospital. After a emergency with our bird goose, we spent hours calling vets to try and help. Even his normal vet refused to show any compassion or offer to help and see him. Sango had no appointments available and immediately said bring him in ASAP! They came directly to my car and immediately ran him back in for triage. They kept him all day to make sure he was well enough to return home. They had never seen us before and could have turned us away like every other vet from Clarksville to Nashville(let's just say its hard finding a avian vet). Thank you for your compassion and love to our Goose! Being a rescue from California he is our world. This experience was heartbreaking and never once was I made to feel like I was over reacting by crying or asking a million questions. Avoid if you can for your reptiles! They will string you on, and make you think they care, but really they have no clue what they are doing. Its sad when a person knows more about a reptile and problems then the paid vet? They will charge you for 14 days of meds, give you 4 because OPPS they ran out, then make you wait without meds for several days before getting back on them. If you DARE to ask for a refund for the 10 days not given, they cant! Because 4 days of meds, and 14 days of meds are the same price....what? After all this still no clue what is wrong with my reptile and going to someone who KNOWS exotic animals, because they just aren't it! read more

We just moved to this area, and needed a new vet. Today my dog Cicci girl, had her first appt. with Jennifer Whitbeck at Sango Vet. Ms. Whitbeck did a complete exam and got Cicci itchy meds, she explained out our questions. Whitbeck is easy to work with, people and animal friendly! lol Cicci nurse was very helpful and efficient. The vets, assistants, and receptionists were all super professional, and explained out our questions. Also they had called to get Cicci record info. from our old vet. and the information was in the computer before we completed the exam.
