Oh my-Coco had an amazing weekend here! Community play, skill assessment and full on communication with owners! 7 year old labradoodle, friendly but we could refine her obedience and playfu read more

Jim worked wonders with my golden retriever pup. Communicated clearly, set the right expectations, expanded my knowledge on how to maintain training as well as other questions I had in regards to feeding portions. Definitely knows his stuff! Lauren who contacted me the dates of availability is also incredibly helpful with amazing patience. Definitely would recommend this for board and train or private lessons! read more

We had "a lot of dog" at the end of our leash with our little Lucy before we met with Lauren and Jim. Lauren and Jim know exactly what they are doing in training dogs. After just our consultation with them, Lucy was 100% better on the leash and now she loose leash walks everywhere. I also really appreciated that they customized the training for us and for our dog. Lucy has a lot of idiosyncrasies and her behavior didn't always make sense, but Lauren and Jim worked with us to find something that worked specifically for our dog and our situation. Not only were they great at helping us figure out what worked for our dog, but they were honestly just a great time to be around. Training with an energetic dog can be frustrating but they were always extremely helpful and just fun to be around. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in need of dog training services! read more

Mighty Dog Services - Lucy is now an AKC Canine Good Citizen - Pet Boarding Near Me - Portland, Tennessee

l got a rescue dog that had been an owner surrender to an organization and went to a Foster home to await adoption... well she got beaten up by some other dogs in the home and was moved to another foster home . Then, I had applied to meet her for adoption & met her, & took her home never looking back. This sweet girl had some tough knocks and behavior issues to go along with them. I enrolled her in a 6 week program with Mighty Dog Services. The team was patient and worked with her throughout the training. Her fear of other dogs, barking at people, pulling on leash walking, nervous pacing, separation anxiety all were resolved. She's a a happy camper that knows what I ask her do, she does it and happily takes praise and treats- and lots of love. They helped this dog overcome a rough past so she can trust and enjoy what she has now. She and I both are extremely thankful for the folks at Mighty Dog Services in Portland TN. They work with all breeds, ages and issues. They truly treat each as an individual and unlock all the potential the dog has to offer. As a dog mom- just as a mom of children. I would rather not fuss at my dog for behavior issues- I just want to love and enjoy them. Its possible , I promise give them a call. read more

Lauren and Jim are extremely knowledgeable, well-rounded trainers. When we first reached out to Mighty Dog Services, we were overwhelmed and discouraged with our MalinoisX, Onyx. Lauren and Jim were encouraging and responsive during every step of Onyx's board & train. During the joint training sessions, Lauren and Jim taught us ways to continue to support and communicate with Onyx. We went from having an over reactive dog that could hardly leave our house, to a well mannered pup that can explore the world more confidently. This would not have been possible without Lauren and Jim's help! Onyx is still the same spunky dog, but now has better skills for navigating unfamiliar places. Since completing Mighty Dog Services training, Onyx has returned for boarding and is always excited to see Lauren and Jim again. We highly recommend them for any dog training needs and support! read more

We are very selective with who we leave our old girl with- she's 10 and has some separation anxiety. We needed to board her when we first moved to the area and started looking into places. Lauren and Jim are WONDERFUL! Our dog is very comfortable with them, they send updates, and we feel so good about having them to take care of our dog when needed. We've used them about half a dozen times at this point and can't imagine leaving her with anyone else! read more

My dogs LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Lauren!! Like, for reals I am invisible when she's around. Lauren took over walking our fur kids this past March. They come home happy and tired. WINNING! My boxer Lucy is a squirrelly rescue who's struggled with recall and dog aggression. She now walks with a pack of 6 other dogs and she's taking commands really well. Lauren has clearly been working hard with her. Maya, my diva pit bull doesn't get excited about much, but she's always happy to see lauren in her own aloof way. Lauren is a key part of giving our dogs a good quality of life in a tiny SF house. We couldn't recommend her enough. read more

Not only do they love Kurly but they make sure he comes home wiped out! These two do it all - they board, groom and not just walk but work your dog out. Kurly was attacked in the park a couple of months ago - they not only took him to the vet, followed up to make sure he was ok, but they also made sure that they guy whose out of control dog paid the vet bill! They are truly amazing. read more

Lauren is amazing. Our shepherd/whippet mix Wally is one of the most nervous dogs you'll ever meet. When we moved to Potrero Hill we needed a new dog walker and Lauren came recommended. She was incredibly understanding and patient with Wally on his first day with her and called me to tell me how things were going. She even offered to lend us a dog crate for wally so he would feel more confortable in our new place. Since then we have had Wally board with her and he loves it. I also really appreciate that my husband and I can decide to work late and text Lauren to get wally a double walk for an extra $10 read more

Lauren is the best. She's been taking care of bishop since puppy and the random strays I've taken in over the years. People always tell me how good of a dog bishop is, and I take all the credit haha but he wouldn't be this good without her help. She introduced me to raw feeding my dogs as well and I'm very grateful to have her as my dog walker, trainer and boarder. I highly recommend her for any of the above. read more

Lauren is trust worthy. "deserving of trust or confidence; dependable; reliable": Lauren is without doubt the person we look to when we need a safe place for our 4-legged family members to stay, whenever we have needed her, she has always been very accommodating. Our K9's love her too! read more

Lauren has been dogsitting for me for about 5 years, anytime I go out of town without my dogs. She is the only one I trust with my pack. I have always had multiple dogs and Lauren takes all four of my guys with no issues. They are on a special home prepared diet (which I send along with them) and Lauren never complains! I never worry about my dogs when they are with her, she is an excellent dog handler/trainer and can deal with any of the shenanigans they throw her way. read more

Lauren is amazing and cares so much for my dog Sugar. She is caring, professional, offers caring suggestions, trains well and is all around the real deal. I know she cares and loves my dog just as much as we do. read more

Lauren was so dependable and reliable as a dog walker for my dog Levi. She has a competitive rate for weekly dog walking. She is also able and willing to board dogs over the holidays. I definitely never had to worry about Levi in her care. He is high energy, and it was so nice to come home from work each day and have him somewhat! worn out from walking with Lauren midday. This was my first experience using a dog walker, and I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a dog walker/boarder for their pup. read more

When you leave one of your most precious family member or members for a day, week or weekend you want to know that they are being well taken care of. Lauren was referred to us A few years ago and we are so thankful that we have Lauren in our life. She is an amazing, compassionate person. Dogs are her life! I call her a "Dog whisperer". She takes care of our very special amstaff and every time our girl see's Lauren she gets so excited. We had a 17 year old rescue Pit who passed away one year ago. He was blind, deaf with lots of anxiety. Lauren offered to take him with our amstaff for a few days while we attended a wedding. I was very apprehensive because he was so attached to me. Lauren took such incredible care of both the dogs. I noticed how Our pitbull took to Lauren Immediately and that brought tears to my eyes because he had so much anxiety being away from us. We are so very thankful to Lauren for giving us piece of mind knowing that our dog is safe and in the very best hands when we leave her. Thank you again Lauren! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Although these people seem to have taken okay care of my dog when I boarded her for my wedding night, I can't believe how shady they are. When we first arranged for the service, they told me that the pick up time was 3 o'clock, but "not to worry about it" if I was a little late. Well, I began calling them at about 2:30 to say, "we're ready to come and get our dog". They didn't call me back until after 3, then when my husband arrived at their house at 3:45, they tried to charge me for a whole second day!!! That's right - another 50.00 for 45 minutes "late" even though it was their fault since they didn't answer their phone until after three. When I called to talk about it, the owner guy told me that the late fee was stated in my contract. I asked him to mail me a copy, since I had signed and given it to them. He never mailed it. I had read that contract and 99.9 sure there was nothing about a late fee. Since researching and using other boarding services, I know that most do have a late pick up fee, but they don't charge a whole second day - especially not for only 45 minutes, and especially not when the service is the one who didn't respond to repeated phone calls to pick up our dog. These people really got under my skin. Don't trust your poochie to Mighty Dog - there are better services out there that won't try to rip you off. read more

They are the best, we have used their services for almost 3 years and have never regretted it. My Rupert loves his walkers, spends time boarding with them, and is oftern groomed while with them. They are great with him and with the entire group, and entirely reliable. That negative review is off the wall! read more

These guys are as legit as it gets. They are rare in the dog walking biz -- fully insured, up to date on their biz licenses, capable of handling all breeds. Voted "Best of the Bay" in the Bay Guardian for a reason. I have a pit bull and I appreciate that they understand the breed. They are true dog lovers and very responsible. read more

I never write reviews nor do I give YELP much credibility especially when I see reviews like the 1 star rating of Lauren. She is excellent with dogs and the dogs love her. We use her for dog walking few times a month and sometimes daily if we are real busy. She has also boarded our dog. If you are some type A nut job that thinks a dog walker can be there at 11:00 sharp it's not gonna work or if someone is shady it they have Pink Hair it is not a good match. If you want a real dog lover and a good walker call Lauren. She comes in an established time frame and gets the dogs. I work from home so it is no big deal; our neighbor gives Lauren the key and she takes the dog out and drops her off.: very smooth. We have another friend who started using Lauren for walking and boarding since she does not want her dog boarded in a prison type environment.. She is a really good dog walker and a real person too 5 stars read more
