She also informed us when it was warm in our home and that she had adjusted the thermostat for them (and to let her know if that wasn't okay ...which of course it was) One of the nights she told us there was thunder and lightening so she closed the blinds for the pups and turned on extra lights. I was totally impressed with every single thing she did while we were gone. My husband and I felt 100% confident that our babies were being taken care of and even spoiled. Well, we got home this evening to find a picture of our two babies in a picture frame...with an adorable personalized typed/printed welcome home card!!!! It told of what a great experience she had with them, what they were like while we were gone and she even asked that we let her know what the vet says when we take Barkley to the vet for his ear infection!!! OH and to make sure and let her know when we get home so she knows she isnt needed to come back again! While my husband and I were talking about how crazy amazing the card and picture was...we realized she had turned on music for them & put away all of there toys so they werent out everywhere when we came home! Can you say way above and beyond!!!??? For anyone out there that considers your pets a part of your family...your children...just like we do.... Kathy at Southern Paws is THE PERFECT CHOICE!! When we forwarded the vet bill to them they said it was the dogs fault as they should have been resting peacefully. Like I think they are confused as these are dogs. They mentioned they waived the $100 boarding fee and that should be enough. Our dogs are not puppies they are not rowdy they are senior dogs at 9 and 12 and are small Shih Tzus. If you have dogs boarding here I would inspect the runs and would seriously question should you continue. They are obviously another business in it for the money and not for the care of our fur babies. There is so many better options in Sumner County.

They helped me learn that my Collie (double-coat, long hair) had shave coat, which explained why her fur had become extremely wiry and nearly impossible to detangle. Not only did they explain what was happening, but they also educated me on how to care for her coat properly at home. After their hard work and deep conditioning, her hair is actually soft and brushable again -- something I genuinely didn't think was possible. Here's the wild part: when we first got our puppy years ago, she was shaved by our first groomer. We found a new groomer to work on her after that and fell in love, but they ended up closing shop. Since then she's been to at least a dozen different groomers. Some continued shaving her coat, which only made the shave coat damage worse. The only groomer who ever came close was in Indiana. While I was looking Dog Oasis up to leave this review, I saw the old site and address an realized... this is the original place we fell in love with!!! I had no idea they moved locations. Everything suddenly made sense! Their pricing is more than fair for the level of care and expertise they provide, and I would trust them 100% with my pups. They're also clearly doodle specialists -- I see people bringing their doodles in all the time. I truly cannot say enough good things about the team, the work, or the facility.
