Love Me Always Dog Training - untitled

    Love Me Always Dog Training

    (3 reviews)

Stay far away!! She abused my dog…read more I settled on Love Me Always Dog Training because the owner, Brittany, has several years of experience, tons of positive reviews, licensed and insured, and it was a small scale operation which I thought was perfect for Romello. I explained that he has already had training and she didn't really need to train him except for him liking to pull on his leash and snatching shoes off of Quinton's feet then refusing to drop them. When I dropped him off I gave her a list of commands that he knows (key words we use), and his feeding schedule to include how to prepare his meals. 21 days later and its pick up day! We are all excited to see Melly as he was missed terribly!! Quinton and I go inside, he gets the food container loaded into the car and I get Romello. Brittany is showing me things she worked on with Romello and he isn't interested, so she gets out peanut butter and he does a few commands (that he already knew). Once in the car we all commented that he was skinny- but thought it was from stress. He smelled terrible, and had a grooming appointment that same day. The groomer commented on how thin he was, that he had bad breath and his coat was straw like and full of dandruff- all of which are signs of a calorie deficit. The groomer also found sores on Romello's scrotum. I reached out to Brittany about Romello's condition and she denied anything being wrong, telling me he looks fine. I questioned her about what he was eating and I was given 3 different responses (see texts below). When I cleaned out my car I discovered his food container was half full. I measured exactly 110 cups of dog food into his container, 5 cups per day x 21 days is 105 cups. So I began measuring cups back into his container to see how many it took to fill it back up. 48... fourty eight cups of dog food is what she fed him over 21 days!!! I then started comparing photos from the day before drop off up until his return home at 21 days. The comparisons made me sick! I decided a vet visit was warranted as Romello was scheduled to be neutered on the 16th and I wasn't sure he was healthy enough for surgery. This morning we went to the vet (less than 24 hours of him being home) and found out he had significant weight loss, a UTI, and the sores on his scrotum were basically bed sores from laying on concrete or hard surfaces for too long. Upon questioning Brittany it became clear that I cannot trust anything she says. My vet, groomer, and prior trainer all know how serious I am about my fur babies. I am still in contact with both of their breeders and ensure we do everything we can to care for them properly. I reached out 1 last time to inform Brittany that she was responsible for his nearly 1000.00 vet bill, and she did not hesitate to reimburse me. My poor boy has ZERO confidence, his posture and overall demeanor has changed drastically.

My dog did not get anything from this training. I was very upfront from the beginning about my dog…read moreneeding training on the leash. Brittany taught her to sit and stay (which she already knew) and it appeared that she worked with her on the leash when we picked my dog up. But as soon as we got home, she was pulling just as much as always. I attempted to reach out to Brittany about it and she was adamant that we could continue to work on it with her coming to my apartment but she was fairly unresponsive and I didn't feel like after THREE weeks of board and train that it should take that much more. Of course I know that there are always things that can be worked on but Brittany should have been up front about the fact that she doesn't do much leach training and works mostly on basic commands. My dog also got sick while at her facility. Brittany suggested I get antibiotics from the vet without even taking my dog to the vet. The vet wanted to see her and I took her in. She had kennel cough and the vet recommended that she stay away from other dogs but Brittany wanted me to take her back to her facility stating that "most of the dogs already had gotten sick" Truly a waste of money and I am very sad to say so. Brittany is kind but my dog didn't get anything from her training unfortunately.
