Dog Oasis - My dog Mötley

Dog Oasis

(16 reviews)

I come here regularly to get my dog Mötley's nails trimmed. He's a very scared, timid rescue dog…read moreand he LOVES it here. He's scared when we go in, but once he sees the staff he gets very excited. Especially when he sees the young man that works behind the desk! they take really good care of my anxious boy (he doesn't let me trim his nails at home but he lets them trim them).

Dog Oasis is an unprofessional and dishonest organization. They constantly over charge add on fees…read morethat are not explained up front. Dogs come home sick and uncared for. When you call, you cannot get an answer and it often takes 4-5 messages to receive a call back, even though they say "Feel free to call and check on them." Then, they are extremely rude and argumentative. They are scamming people out of money hoping it goes unnoticed. If you look up reviews, you will see MANY complaints about this. When you question the price difference from what you were quoted, the owner (VERY MEAN LADY) will scream at you and go get her large son to come out and intimidate/threaten you - he and several others there are quite visibly HIGH on pot while working. The lady is pure evil and I will tell everyone I know to avoid this establishment. They needs to be investigated. They are dishonest and running a scam operation. They also tack on fees that show up a few days after you pay by card. Again, when you call to discuss, they don't answer or yell at you. PLEASE do NOT take your pets to this place! We thought they were wonderful at first, even after reading bad reviews. But, after a few trips we learned what others had warned about. The lady owner literally YELLED at my husband and told him not to come back and she would not change the amount to what ELI quoted us 3 times! She also said "Leave a bad review, I could care less about bad reviews." She blamed everything on ELI (front desk person) and then blamed us for caring about our dogs and questioning the huge price difference. People, I beg you to find another kennel for your fur babies. This place is NOT what is seems. I should have gone with my gut instinct when they refused to give us a tour and when the price was misquoted the first few times. They do not care about your dogs. It's just about money. Don't take my word for it or the word of those "fake" reviews or family friends. Go research and pull all the old reviews. Like she yelled at my husband, "I don't care about **** bad reviews, no one will believe them."

Root Animal Clinic - Sleepy creature

Root Animal Clinic

Rude Animal Clinic…read more Root failed to properly handle my cat's blood sample. Their own medical record says it was "left out." Because of their failure, my cat had to come back for another stressful trip, restraint, and blood draw that should never have been necessary. There was no apology, explanation, acknowledgment of what they put my cat through, or effort to make it right. Dr. Emily later called about the replacement bloodwork and again offered no acknowledgment or apology. I took the issue to the owner. It took nearly two weeks and repeated follow ups on my part to get a final response from Dr. Ayers. He ultimately acknowledged both the botched blood sample and the lack of apology and empathy. I asked for one thing: refund what I paid Root. I did not ask them to pay for the second vet, reimburse my additional expenses, or compensate me for all the time their failure cost me. They acknowledged the failure. They acknowledged how poorly they handled it. They refused to make any amends. I initially thought this was an unfortunate failure handled poorly by individual employees. After taking it all the way to Ayers, the owner, I came away believing the accountability problem at Root is modeled from the top down. I trusted Root with my cat's health. They failed. For anyone who wants the medical details: The replacement bloodwork led Root to suspect a blood parasite and prescribe medication. I had lost confidence in their care, so my cat never received Root's proposed treatment and I sought a second opinion. The second veterinarian told me stress from the repeat blood draw could have contributed to the abnormal results. Repeat testing showed the concerning abnormalities had resolved without Root's treatment, and the blood smear showed no RBC parasites seen. The second veterinarian instead focused treatment on my cat's gastrointestinal problems. Those findings gave me serious reason to question the medical conclusions that followed a blood draw my cat only had to undergo because Root failed to properly handle the first sample.

We've been going to Root Animal Clinic for about 3 years now. We always have a pleasant experience…read moreno matter which doctor we see. My dogs are not a fan of going to the vet, but everyone is always super nice so that helps.
