Instead they put one pup in a kennel or room by itself unattended all day because they don't want to deal with the issue. There is rust and sharp metal everywhere in and on the building, the fences and falling apart and low enough for dogs to jump over. None of the staff had any professional training whatsoever. While I was there I noticed the turf/grass the yards have are torn up and have huge holes where the dogs will eat gravel and no one does anything to fix the holes. The buildings are run down and leaking with holes in the walls and paint peeling enough that I've seen dogs eat the paint. I do not recommend this facility to anyone who cares about the wellfare of their pets and doesn't want to pay a massive vet bill.

One of my favorite things is how they do smaller play groups. It's not chaotic, and both of our dogs have actually made little friends they get excited to see. It feels really intentional and thoughtful. I also appreciate that they build in rest time so the dogs aren't completely wiped or overstimulated. The little extras are such a fun touch too--lick mats, themed parties with photos (which I love), and all the add-ons that make it feel like they're getting spoiled in the best way. I scheduled a tour in advance online, and received a very thorough explanation of the Yardstick difference. There are three different play areas for small, medium, and large dogs. During a regular daycare visit, your dog gets a short break in their own kennel area around midday, before jumping back in for afternoon play. An all-day daycare visit will run you $45, and they do offer a trial day for new guests for $25. The entire facility is cute and clean - but I have to say it's the customer service that stands out most. The Yardstick team sends me adorable (and detailed) photo updates throughout the day, reinforcing that I've left my fur baby in excellent hands. Stewart, twice a day while we are out of town and she always sends multiple updates and photos during each visit. Penny is a very kind, warm person who is a true animal lover and she gives Miss. Stewart the best care while we are away. Marge, who I think is the owner, is also wonderful and made it very easy for us to sign up with Home Run a couple of years ago while we were on our honeymoon (we did it all through email and text! Marge is a champ and super helpful). Prices are very reasonable - pet sitting visits are about $25 or $30 and the sitter will do anything that needs to be done for your pet. Penny even offers to check our mail for us and will take the trash out on trash day. I just can't say enough about this wonderful service. We first used Home Run Pet Care in October of 2015 and we have used them one other time last July while we were out of town for a week. I just scheduled with them for an overnight trip that we're taking next week, and we also plan to use them again when we take our next family vacation this July. We love our cat and she is very special to us, so it's nice to be able to relax knowing that she is safe and somebody is able to check on her daily when we have to go out of town.

Heed the warning- I recently boarded my 3 French Bulldogs at this boarding place. I chose them…read morebecause they seemed very friendly, the place appeared clean to the eye. They were there 11 days I believe. It was NOT cheap. I EVEN LEFT A TIP!!! Everything seemed wonderful. They bathed my pups per my request, they even came in after hours to let me pick them up. Here lies the issue. My pups have ONLY been at my house in my yard or at their boarding establishment. No walks elsewhere, No dog parks, No one else's house. NOWHERE!!!! About 7 days after I returned home with them, one had a spot on his back where the hair fell out/became red irritated/then dry & flaky. Only to find out it was indeed RINGWORM!!! I was supposed to board them again but called to cancel right away. I was furious!! * SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS * I battled the ringworm for about two more weeks. Thankfully his hair grew back & I got rid of it. I also prevented my other two from getting it w medicated shampoo. Fast forward another two week another of my pups tested positive for HOOK-WORMS!!!! Remember my dogs have not been ANYWHERE ELSE.... So now I've had to treat all my dogs for that. Thru the Dr that referred me their facility. I can assure you they did not have them before boarding here. I just had all of them checked before I moved here in September. W a clean bill of health. Please be warned.
