When testing the irrigation system a major leak was discovered hiding underneath our pavers - they were able to repair it during the same appointment. Jeff and team are punctual and detail oriented. From start to finish, this company was absolutely incredible to work with! After reaching out, the owner came to our home to discuss what we envisioned for the yard. Once I shared our ideas, he offered his expert input to make the design even better. We talked through the plan and he promptly provided a detailed quote with a clear timeline. Once approved, they were able to start the very next day. I couldn't believe it! The turnaround time alone was impressive -- but what really blew us away was the execution. In just 5 days, they completely transformed our yard -- and I mean transformed. What started as a weed-filled, giant uneven dirt pit is now the backyard of our dreams! They removed tons of weeds, leveled the entire yard, installed turf, pavers, plants, irrigation, plant lighting, bistro lights, built a beautiful fireplace pad, and even distributed 30 tons of rock - all from scratch. Just look at the before and afters... WOW! Their pricing was very fair (actually the best of the quotes we received), their communication was excellent, and the quality of work speaks for itself. Every single day the owner met with me to review progress and discuss the plan for the next day. I was kept in the loop every step of the way and could always reach them by phone with questions. The customer service was truly top-tier. They work incredibly efficiently without sacrificing quality -- which is rare. We were so pleased with everything that we've now signed up for monthly maintenance to keep the yard looking beautiful. If you want a landscaping team that works incredibly fast, communicates clearly, and delivers high-quality results without cutting corners, this is the company to call. Look no further. We are beyond satisfied and would absolutely recommend them!

Earthtones was recommended to us by a neighbor but it appears we've had very different experiences. Steve was nearly two hours late to our scheduled appointment. We work from home and are flexible on time so a postponement wasn't an issue but it was a harbinger of how things would go from there. Steve sent a crew the following Saturday. They worked for several hours in the front yard and then left without a word. We waited a few days to see if they would come back to finish. They did not. My husband contacted Steve about the remaining work and Steve sent a crew out again. This time, they finished the work. No one ever completed the irrigation audit. Because of the lack of communication and continuous need for follow-up, we have terminated our relationship with Earthtones. I will note that the crews did fine work but ultimately, I need a company that is reliable and communicative.

We did a walkthrough with one of the owners, and received a quote that we found reasonable. Six weeks later, they canceled our service out of nowhere because "our property is too large" for the crew. First of all, their two man crew was typically in and out in 20-30 minutes. Secondly, they never even notified us of their cancellation, they just didn't show up and let me know when I questioned why they never came. Thirdly, why would you provide us with a proposal after seeing the property if it is something you can't handle? It was a disappointing experience with them. They promised a lot, and then failed to deliver. I would look elsewhere.

Ben Horowitz came to our home as scheduled, examined the tree and gave us his professional opinion. We elected to have this tree removed and a new tree planted. Ben shopped new trees for us and showed us several pictures of potential replacements. We chose the one we liked the best and he scheduled the planting for December 2025. His crew showed up on time and planted our new tree. We were so impressed by Ben's professionalism that we decided to have their companies irrigation specialist, Caleb, come to our home to review our irrigation scheme and make recommendations which included multiple changes to our irrigation scheme and a new remotely controlled irrigation system. These changes have reduced our monthly irrigation expenses by more than 30%. Ben visited our home several times to make sure that the new tree was flourishing. In one of his visits, we asked if he would take a look at our existing trees and provide us with an estimate for tree trimming. He did provide a very reasonable estimate and we contracted with the company for this service. Once again, the crew showed up on time and completed the work as promised. We thank Ben and Caleb for their recommendations and services performed. Without any reservations whatsoever, we would highly recommend Valley Tree Care for any landscape issues you might have.
