Having read the one star review, I can say that any storage facility you use will not make any guarantees about damage to your belongings except for the liability insurance they hold for building damages incurred from natural disaster. It's too bad his property was damaged from mice but that has nothing to do with this facility and he is unfairly rating the company as a result. As for telephone service, the facility does have someone onsite during regular business hours, but is not sitting by the phone the entire time. Like any single staffed company, if you can't get them on the phone, go see them. 2-3 months of calling seems it isn't important enough to make an in person visit where a prized and valuable asset is being stored. I love the personalized code to get you into the gate and the multiple cameras onsite for additional security measures. All of the buildings are in TOP shape and made with steel 2x4's and trusses. This is one of the best locations and facilities in the area. In addition, A LOT of people store their RV's and boats here. So a lot of people feel their property is safe.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel since it was picked for me by the conference I was going…read moreto. It was very clean with nice modern touches. The conference area had lots of breakout spaces, little nooks to get a little work done, have a snack, or chat with colleagues. Bathrooms were very clean and orderly. The food was pretty impressive for conference hotel food. They were a little heavy on the spices, but I'll take that over lack of flavor. There was a Starbucks, a cocktail bar, breakfast place and a restaurant all within the hotel that I didn't eat at but the convenience is always nice at a conference facility. The rooms themselves were spotless, modern, nice amenities, large tvs with streaming, and rainfall showers. My only issue was that the desk area didn't have any plugs to plug in my laptop. The closest plug was on a different wall since the desk was up against the window with no power strip under it to plug-in phone charger, and laptop charger. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially when I got locked in the parking garage because I left my room key in the room when I left at checkout, forgetting that I needed it to exit the parking garage. Unfortunately, the help button on the exit kiosk was malfunctioning, and the remote troubleshooting person couldn't be heard so was not helpful. I ended up having to go in to get assistance. But staff walked back with me and manually unlocked the gate for me to exit.

This was my first stay here in about 10 years and I was so happy to be back. It keeps getting better and better! I love the decor. Everything feels warm, welcoming, and so nice! It has everything I could need and want. Inside the hotel, there is access to fantastic bars and restaurants, coffee, convenience store for essentials, and so much more. Burdick's is a great sports bar. Lobby Bar serves tasty cocktails and small bites, such a charcuterie. Brick & Brine is amazing and serves elevated and innovative dishes. There is a Starbucks in the lobby too, as well as a convenience store where you can pick up snacks, toiletries, and more. I was very grateful because I had forgotten my allergy meds and they had some there. The rooms are excellent. Modern and pristine. Very comfortable and spacious. I appreciate having a large TV, safe, fridge, desk, and a separate seating area with a chair and table. I really like the walk-in shower with the rainfall shower head. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided are really nice quality. I also really appreciated the makeup remover pads that were provided too. Worked so well! The lobby is beautiful and very spacious too, with plenty of comfy seating areas. Great location in downtown Kalamazoo. An easy walk from the train station. I found it was quite walkable to many things. Friendly and wonderful staff. Everyone is very kind and helpful. A special thank you to Richie at the front desk. Excellent communication during my stay. I received text messages and people checked in to make sure I had everything I needed. This is definitely my favorite hotel in Kalamazoo. I can't wait to stay here again!
