Horrible! My experience began really well - the company quoted a very fair estimate and seemed great/helpful during the planning stage of our event. I had arranged for an 11AM pick-up for our party of 13 people to take a wine tour in Southwest Michigan. At 11:15AM, the driver had not arrived yet and I began calling the company and "Scott, the Manager" - only to receive voice recordings from each. At approximately 11:30AM, I received a "txt message" reading - "Sorry, our shuttle bus broke down on the highway. It is not good. The turbo blew. All we can do is refund your deposit. Sorry." No one from the company had the courtesy to call me and personally apologize or offer assistance to find another option for our wine tour transportation, which was an activity we had planned our weekend around --- we had traveled to SW Michigan from out of town to celebrate our friend's wedding engagement. This company may be cheaper than a few other options out there, but please note - if an unforeseen "break-down" occurs, this company will leave you hanging... not what I would want anyone to experience for a wedding/special event of any kind. Use at your own risk. (Also, I have not received my deposit back yet... another frustrating aspect of this situation.) read more

I don't normally give bad reviews, but Elite really blew it this weekend. Transportation was scheduled for a wine tour at noon. They never arrived. After a couple of phone calls they admitted they double-booked and that the transportation would not be arriving. I understand mistakes can happen but they seemed to not care about it at all. If I could give them zero stars, I would. We reserved Elite Transportation Group to provide a party shuttle for our wedding, and they didn't bother to show up or call to inform us they weren't going to pick us up. After confirming the pickup time and location multiple times prior to our event with Scott Smith and filling out a credit card authorization form, they still didn't show up. Don't expect to be able to get ahold of them by phone if you need to either, the number on their website is disconnected and the number on Google goes straight to voicemail. When we finally got ahold of someone the next day, Scott insisted that someone had come to pick us up and offered excuses afterwards as to why no one did. I wouldn't trust them to do an event, and I certainly wouldn't trust them to transport you anywhere else either. read more

Scott set us up and we loved the service and attention to detail. We get a great price for to-and-from the airport to our hotel (we were in town to attend a conference), and even though we wanted a van, we were given 2 vehicles to get the 6 of us to the hotel at the quoted rate. We asked for a recommendation for a restaurant and transport to Lake Michigan, and Scott took us to South Haven and we dined at an exceptional place called 'Clementines'. After dinner we walked to the Lake Michigan shore and then we called it a night. Excellent value, excellent service, and never any problems. Great company. read more

Horrible!!!! The bus was rented for trip to Detroit for a ball game, 8 guys riding in it. the bus was bad, bad. It didn't do over 60 mph, winds had to down because the AC didn't work. the driver didn't know where to park when we got there. On the way back he couldn't figure out how to get back to Kalamazoo, he got lost 3 times. One of the times it was in the worst part of Detroit, I mean really bad part of town. To top off the night, besides being lost for nearly an hour, we ran out of diesel fuel, so we had to call for rides from Portage road to get back to west main. read more

One of the worst business experiences ever. Arranged a trip for a bachelor party from Kalamazoo to a Detroit Tigers game. Made arrangements with Scott, the owner, and the day before he told us we would be taking a new Sprinter van. Was initially pleased with Scott as he accommodated a last minute change in the size of the party; however, the day of the trip the disaster started. The driver did not have the Sprinter I was promised, instead he had an old beat up recycled Metro bus with the handicap ramp boarded off. The driver was also expecting a Sprinter van and said that these last minute switches happen all the time. The AC did not work, we had to drive with the windows down and the emergency hatch open. The bus would not go over 60 mph. Driver did not know where to take us or where to park at Comerica Park so we missed the first pitch. The ride home was worse. Leaving Detroit the driver got lost 3 times and we had to give the driver directions with our phones to get us out of the worse part of Detroit. The worst was when we ran out of fuel along I-94. This was shortly after we had stopped at a gas station for a bathroom break. We had unload and walk along I-94 at 11:30 at night to get to a place where our wives could pick us up. After several days of waiting for Scott to discuss this with his driver, he finally decided that a window was broken on the bus so he is unable to refund any of our money. I am 100% sure that no one in our group broke a window on this bus. The group consisted of people ranging in age from 35-75 years old. I am appalled by the lack of customer service and Scott's refusal to make it right. read more

Reserved Elite 3 weeks prior to our 8 person wine tour trip of Southwest Michigan. Sent a conformation email 2 days prior to our trip and was told we were all set. We were supposed to get picked up a 12:00 so when the limo wasn't there by 12:20, I began calling. Called a few times and kept getting voicemail, then finally got through and they acted like they had no idea of our reservation. We got the run around for a while (all from other employees of the company, never Scott himself). Then we were told that another limo was on its way to get us. After an hour we called the driver to make sure he knew where he was going and he said that Scott cancelled him and he wasn't coming. They never showed up and Scott never answered his phone or email messages that we left him. Terrible company, not sure how they are still in business.... On a positive note, we called Fantasy Carriages and explained our situation, they had a beautiful escallade limo pick us up in 1 hour on a moment's notice and saved the day. read more

Worst Service ever. About a month ago we had taken a Wine tour bus, they left us. We had to find our own rides. There were 15 of us behind at 1am. We called the company and they had one driver on. He came as quick as he could, kept apologizing for his boss Dwayne. Terrible service from the manager. Great service from the driver Brian. read more

What a poor excuse for transportation. Driver was unprofessional, we were promised a brand new sprinter and he showed up in a broken down mini-bus. The air did not work, the thing wouldn't go over 60 if it was going down hill, down wind. The driver did not know where to go in Detroit for Comerica and we got lost 3 times on the way home. To top it off, he ran out of gas on I-94 on the way home. Driver quote, "we can't be out of gas, the needle isn't even touching the E." This after we stopped in Jackson, AT A GAS STATION, for a bathroom break. I think he had no way to pay for more, otherwise, why would you not gas up. The owner took no responsibility and even accused us of breaking a window. It would be hard to tell if a window was broken in this hunk of junk. STAY AWAY!!!! read more

I am very disappointed with my interaction with Elite Transportation. This company left 17 ladies waiting for the bus for a wine tour for over 2 1/2 hours before finally saaying no one was coming. Elite never took responsibility for double booking said bus and never apologized. In fact, one employee, Dan, had the nerve to yell at me and accuse me of being at fault when I have saved ALL of the correspondence between the owner and I. I was told that I would receive a call from him and never did. He CONFIRMED my reservation two days before the event. There is NO excuse for this and Elite has done nothing to even try to correct an uncorrectable situation. One of my guests works at a hotel in Kalamazoo that has worked with this company in the past, but WILL NEVER refer Elite's "services" again. Seventeen of us will be working to put the word out that Elite Transportation is poorly run, incompetant and unapologetic. I plan to report Elite Transportation to the Better Business Bureau and I hope this business suffers accordingly. You lost your company over $600.00 in business and, hopefully, a lot more future dollars that would have come in from a positive referral. Thank you for making a mess of our weekend and our plans. You and your company are clearly unprofessional and inept. read more

Called the night before to schedule a 15 minute ride to work. I had to be there at 9 and asked that the driver be there at 8:15-8:30. Well, 8:30 rolls around and the driver is not here. I call four times and each time it goes to voicemail. Also, the voicemail is for a different number. Not really relevant, but just makes them look even more sketchy.. Well they finally answered my fifth time calling (8:32), and said, "oh yeah he was supposed to be there at 8:30, right? I'll call and see where he is. I'll call you right back." So, six more minutes (8:38) go by and I try to call again, they don't answer. My sister calls off her phone and they answer and she asks what the problem is. They reply, "oh, the driver got held up momentarily but should be pulling up at any minute." When almost five more minutes go by (8:42) I call again. They don't answer, but another number calls me back. It's the driver. He says they gave him the wrong address and that he should be to me in about five minutes. At this point I'm PISSED because like I said, I needed to be at work and I had called this in THE NIGHT BEFORE. I say, "I have to be to work in fifteen minutes. I called last night and they said everything was set. Are you going to pay my bills when I get fired?" The driver laughs and says, "I'm so sorry." I try to call the office three more times and no one answers (8:48). I finally call my boss (8:50) and she ends up telling me to just stay home. Meaning, I lost out on my money today and this also makes me look VERY bad and might reflect on next weeks schedule. I call the driver and tell him I don't need him to come anymore (8:51). All he said was, "Ok," and hung up. I tried to call the office twice again and no one answers. I'm guessing they had begun ignoring my calls after the first time I called. I call the office on my house phone, they answer (8:55). I tell them that their driver never showed up and didn't seem like he even planned to or was concerned about it and they hung up on me. This is the most pathetic excuse for a business that I have ever had the mispleasure of dealing with. Their driver had plenty of notice (a whole twelve hours) and still could not make it on time. Once they realized they did something wrong, they just ignored me instead of even trying to fix the problem. I wouldn't recommend anyone ever use this piece of shit company. Thanks for making me lose out on money today. Not like I have bills to pay or a child to provide for. And glad your staff just doesn't even give a fuck. read more
