Come to find out, the engine was dangerously low on oil. I walked in to the shop and explained my problem to the service department, and the gentleman there handed me a 5 qt. jug of oil that had about a quart and a half left in it, enough to get me home. I offered to pay and he wouldn't accept. Good samaritans, extremely helpful to a guy in need. Should I need anything motorcycle-related in the future, they'll get my business first. Thanks.

These guys took us into town and dropped us off at a historic inn, and Mark gave us a tour of the town in the process and showed us all the good places to eat (I now weigh 750 pounds). We ended up having a great time in Middlebury, they picked us up the next day as the tires were going on and we rolled out on some well-replaced rubber. While I was being shown the motorcycle another person arrived to see the same motorcycle. I told Frank I would purchase the bike, yet he told the other customer he had first dibs on it. Both of us had phoned the previous day to see if the bike was available. I had asked if a deposit to hold the bike would be refundable if I changed my mind after seeing the bike in person, the answer was "no". The other customer was angry, we both agreed it was a terrible way to do business. I left, he stayed.

Frank immediately came across as both knowledgeable and honest, so when he asked if I had a budget in mind, I wasn't weirded out and gave him my number. About a week after I dropped the moped off, Frank said it was ready for pick-up. The cost was less than half of what I was expecting to pay and the bike is running tip-top. The friend I presented it to was super stoked and seemed really impressed with Frank's work, which is probably a more valuable testimonial than my own. If I ever end up with a moto, I'll know where to take it.

Seven days go by and I decided to just pick up the bike and go to Land Air in Essex to get it done quickly and right since it still wasn't done. I can't recommend these guys and won't use them now, their loss; wish they were just upfront and honest at the time. Feels wrong.
