I've been a customer here for years without any major issues, which honestly makes this year's experience even more disappointing. Back in the spring, it was already a struggle just to get someone to return a call. I gave them the benefit of the doubt--this is a busy time of year for motorcycle shops--but that should've been my first warning sign. When I finally brought my bike in for a routine inspection, oil change, and tune-up, the service went from mildly frustrating to completely unacceptable. Communication was practically nonexistent. Getting a simple status update felt like pulling teeth--calls went unanswered, and when I did get through, I was given vague or noncommittal answers. The worst part? The cost. I was given a quote, reviewed it, and approved the work based on that number. Two weeks later--after zero proactive updates--I went to pick up my bike and was handed a bill that was double the quoted price. Not slightly higher. Not due to a quick phone call to explain additional issues. Double. And at no point did anyone contact me to explain, get approval, or even give a heads-up that costs were increasing. That's not just poor customer service--that's a complete breakdown of basic business practices and trust. It's incredibly frustrating to see a shop that used to be reliable drop the ball so hard on communication, transparency, and accountability. These guys are awesome. We limped in on a BMW R1150RT with a fried rear tire that had really gone bad after picking up a screw. Mark and Steve took us in, we talked about the options and arrived at ordering new front and rear from NYC rather than putting something on that would work but not be quite right. These guys took us into town and dropped us off at a historic inn, and Mark gave us a tour of the town in the process and showed us all the good places to eat (I now weigh 750 pounds). We ended up having a great time in Middlebury, they picked us up the next day as the tires were going on and we rolled out on some well-replaced rubber. I wanted a new motorcycle but I had back fusion due to age and past bump skiing and did not know what to get or even if I could have a bike again. I sold my past Harley and wanted something light.
