I called San Jose Custom Upholstery to get a quote. Pierre picked up my call immediately and gave me a quote as soon as he received my photos. I went their shop the next day. Pierre and his brother were there to answer my questions. His brother gave me advice on colors and types of fabric. He even gave me samples so I could see them in the lighting of my new home before making my decision. When Pierre delivered my couch and my chair. They were elegantly modernized and beautifully upholstered. Thank you Pierre and especially to your brother. I wish I remember his name.

Fantastic service, beautiful and quick work. We needed to have our patio furniture cushions…read morereupholstered - they had been left out in the rain too often over the past 15 years. Piere helped us pick out a beautiful fabric, rightly recommended to have the inner foam wrapped in plastic and added a zipper behind each so they could be easily cleaned in case of an "oops". All of this was rather a last minute thought before my wife's big milestone birthday party. Piere and his team delivered so quickly - half of the time promised and the results are absolutely gorgeous. The stitching and attention to detail was excellent. While it was not inexpensive we feel it was worth every penny. Hopefully the results will show up well in the photos attached.

Who knew it was so pricey to replace?! Aby's team responded quickly and scheduled a time to bring in the cushions. Process overview: * We brought our sofa cushions in to be measured. * We reviewed different options for firmness and type of fillings. * We received our estimate and paid. * 1 week later, we received a message that our custom cushions were ready! * 1 week later, we picked up our cushions. Our cushions were wrapped up nicely with plastic upon picking them up which helped a lot with transportation. Fernando also provided stellar customer service at the site and helped me load/unload my car with the cushions which was amazing! I found the prices here to be comparable to what we received from other upholstery stores, if not lower. I would recommend Aby's Upholestry for this service!

Aby did such a great job the first time, we didn't hesitate for her to do it again. I sent her a few inspiration pictures, and when I went to pick out fabric, she already had narrowed down the samples for us, which streamlined the selection process. A few weeks later Aby let us know our bench was ready. It was exactly what I wanted, and the fabric had the perfect texture and color. I'm sure I could have bought a new bench for the price of the reupholstering, but I don't think I can find one that's custom made exactly as I want.

Absolutely blown away by the quality of work from Upholstery Specialists. I had a very sentimental…read morepiece of furniture - a sectional that was my first "adult" furniture that my dad and step mom had bought for me. It has been the best sofa ever - absolutely perfect size and has fit in two different homes. Well, it started to lose its comfort and was broken, fabric was worn down, when you sat down you could feel the springs/edges of the frame - but it was like my wubby, I could not stand the thought of scrapping it. I started researching all the options. Reality - there is no sofa on the market with same exact dimensions. So next up, reupholstery it was! I had first reached out to Paul maybe 6 months ago wanting to understand pricing! He asked for some pics, my measurements and offered rough estimate. Amazing, he did that within a day or two of me reaching out. Then I went radio silent - we had another home project that took all the time/funds. Fast forward to April - I reached out one more time and Paul picked up right where we left off. Said come on down to the shop where they have thousands of samples! You get to touch/feel/bring samples home, but my son zeroed in on our winning fabric pretty quickly! And its actually a more durable fabric than we had before. Fast forward to the process itself - Paul comes over to do his own measurements and see the space. This is when I was provided the real real quote as he had the exact measurements. Let's be honest, I missed a thing or two. Paul then came on a Thursday to pick it up, 2 Thursdays later it was back, better than ever! The cushions are now full and oh so comfortable. The base of the sofa has been repaired, reinforced and is ready for another 10 years of wear and tear! I am so beyond grateful for this journey with Paul and his team. I might have spent a bit more money, but not much when you think about other costs - getting rid of a couch, shipping, white glove delivery. So it probably works out to about the same, but there really is no price on a sentimental piece that has so many memories and now has new ones as my son got to be a part of the process! HIGHLY recommend Upholstery Specialists!

Meyer inspected the sideboard, tried to get the drawers out but gave up after several minutes of pulling on the drawers. He said he needed to move the sideboard to his shop (with our help!) and that there was a good chance he'd have to first break the drawers removing them prior to repairing. He said he wouldn't give us a quote unless we gave him $180 for the time he spent inspecting the sideboard (which we are sorry we did); even so, we never did get a quote for the repair. We did get a dirty 2 inch block of beeswax for the money, though, that he told us to rub on the drawers and to get back to him. While Meyer was here, he was often rude and condescending when speaking of his experience and knowledge of working with wood furniture. We found another furniture restorer who came to our house and repaired our sideboard in place after about 4 hours of planing and sanding. He was absolutely awesome. We hate to write a negative review, but this person richly deserves it and we felt we should warn others who may be victimized.
