One woman followed this guy around who wore a polo shirt and seemed interested in everything. I have money but like a more pedestrian look for comfort, however I was receiving no help from this woman with blonde hair who I think is in her 70s. Well, long story short, I had only about ~$600 in my hand and I needed assistance and was not going to get it so I cashed out. The manager of the store seemed genuinely concerned when I wrote an email but more wants to save the reputation of her store. They could have made another grand easily but the old woman with the blonde/white hair made me uncomfortable so I left with very little. This is very an unprofessional and inappropriately run outlet. With the malls shutting down it's very sad we have to deal with people who treat others with intentions to buy, like peasants. I have staff, I don't wait for them to wait on me. Billy Moll, NY

Was immediately greeted even though I was dressed as a ragamuffin (it was cold outside!) I did my usual walk around the entire store to take it all in and then go back and start picking up the ones I like, trying them on in front of the mirror and asking for opinions. You need to speak up for yourself and not let the lack of assistance scare you from shopping here. If you don't look approachable, you'll be left alone. But if you smile and make eye contact, you'll be helped and sometimes you still need to ask. Left here with two purses and a wallet and have no regrets! Can always find a classy or trendy piece here and as usual, at a killer price!

I also recently needed a belt for a special buckle and even tho I live quite far from his location we were able to pick something over the phone and he mailed it to me promptly. His…read moresilversmithing creates jewelry that even 5th Ave. stores in NYC could not provide or even offer for sale. His leatherwork is masterful and done tastefully with something for everyone. But I especially appreciated the time his took with us as my wife went through and built a silver charm bracelet with her Maine memories. Not only did he wait for her to decide between items, he was quick to point out unique differences and provide details as to why she might like one charm over another of the same type. Some shop owners might have walked away in frustration when she was trying to decide which scallop shell charm to select, but he merely showed her more and helped her see what went best with the other charms she was selecting. Even at the end, as he was adding the charms one by one to the bracelet and she last minute decided she wanted a map of the State of Maine added, he merely grabbed another loop and put it on. So, if you are in the market for leather, silver, or gold, whether for yourself or a gift for someone else, I highly recommended visiting Peter at his shop where I know that not only will you get the best value, you will get the best treatment.

Who hands a finished product back to a customer that looks done by an amateur? Stitch lines in the leather that were abandoned, and then restitched above the first line leaving the holes that were abandoned still there. Seriously? - Patched pieces of the wrong color used. Looked like he just chose a scrap piece that was nearby, instead of making the attempt to find a matching color. Lazy. - Mismatched pieces of patch used for the same area on each shoe. Why not make an identical looking piece for each shoe? When the shoes are seen together the oversight is easily seen, and it degrades the finished product. Everyone who has seen it is appalled at how poorly the work was done. That is your advertisement for your shop Mike, and the work you do?? Bottom line: Mike took a custom made shoe and made it look like crap. Returned for correction and he quickly states he can do nothing more. Funny, but two other cobblers saw his work and were flabbergasted by his extremely poor attempt at a repair. One of those shops now has the task of fixing Mike's mess. (At a cost to me!) Step one for the new shop? Choosing the correct color patch! Look elsewhere for a cobbler who takes pride in his work.
