Upon removing the heating element and inspecting it I found that the heating element had been previously broke and instead of being replaced they instead decided to try and complete the circuit with a screw. It literally takes 20 minutes and maybe 30 bucks to replace the element, but instead they would rather risk someone's house catching fire. I'm just lucky it broke instead of catching fire. If you ever bought anything from them I would double check it. If you are looking for an appliance stay away from this place.

Buyer beware. I bought local to support local. The Sales experience at Gerhard's was pretty…read moreseamless and all went well until the actual delivery. The delivery team took one look at the existing set up and decided (without actually trying) that they weren't able to remove the old units and install the new ones. They literally left my new washer and dryer in the middle of the foyer and said "someone else will be back to install". It quickly became evident that was not the case. After multiple calls to the store and customer service, the response conveyed per Mr. Gerhard was for me to call "call a carpenter to remove the door frame". Truly ridiculous as the existing units were installed in the same space. I ultimately had to remove these by myself (which took about 4 minutes) and convince them to come back to install the new and remove the old units. This was an extraordinary hassle and if not for customer service, i would have been stuck with the situation in these photos. If Mr. Gerhard or anyone else had extended the simple courtesy of speaking with me and taken the time to listen, this disaster could have been avoided. A complete waste of my time. Again, buyer beware!!!!
