She along with the red-head that was at the front desk made a nasty comment in regards to a paying customer about their appearance and the word that came from the red/heads mouth was ,"Ew!" Totally uncalled for! I didn't want to make a scene so me taking the high rode i've decided to leave a review, I feel these two should face disciplinary actions for displaying poor services which was a result of me having a poor experience!

How on earth this Eye Center receives such high remarks and stars on Google is beyond me. This is…read morethe worst Medical Center EVER! Here's why I think so: 1. Far too many clients/patients to doctor ratio. 2. Dr. Loizos and Dr. Bedell were more than 45 minutes to an hour late for each appointment my wife was scheduled to attend. 3. There is absolutely no customer/patient follow up. This is very alarming for cataract surgery is pretty serious business. We are talking about a person's eyesight for goodness sake. 4. Dr. Loizos seemed to fumble his way through my wife's procedures, kind of guessing what to do next. 5. Dr. Bedell has excellent patient care, but is hesitant to do anything and seems incompetent at times. 6. My wife never received the results she was looking for. No, we don't wanna go back and have them fix her eyes again for we have lost faith and confidence In their abilities. 7. This facility takes advantage of elderly people and has them waiting around all day!! Please reread item number 1. 8. The receptionists are rude and crude. 9. The facility itself is dated. Old equipment, old computers, old bathrooms. Just plain old. Not too sure what you're doing with all of the patient's money. 10. Hate is a strong word. I hated having my wife treated here! 11. No one in the entire organization returns for calls or answers the phone. Often times you are put on Terminal hold. I've nicknamed it, the phone tree of death. 12. If you read all through this and you still want to use Fairview Park Eye Center, good luck!!

I came here for LASIK despite the lack of reviews for it and here was my experience:…read more The screening took about an hour, they checked my glasses prescription and did a eye exam. They have a pretty huge variety of machines and made sure to check my eye pressure, retinas, corneas, etc. After the screening I met the fellow then the doctor, both were fine, went over the various treatments they offer and why regular LASIK was the best option for me. They addressed my concerns about chronic dry eyes and halos which they explained are most common in people with dry eyes at baseline and people requiring high corrections respectively. The cost was $2400 + $300 for a new contoura corneal resurfacing option that further individualizes the correction to the shape of each person's eye and has been shown to improve outcomes in appropriate individuals. After that, I came back for a dilated eye exam where they took more maps of my eye, rechecked my prescription, rechecked my retinas, and went over the procedure in more depth. They do prescribe something to help you relax for the day of the procedure if you feel you need it. The day of the procedure went by super fast. When I was called, I got on a table with machines on each side. They numb your eyes up then put a speculum to keep your lids open, the first machine gently pushes on your eye and makes the flap in about 10 seconds. The table then moves a few feet to the other machine and your vision gets blurry when they flip the flap up. It was freaky because someone is basically using a tiny spatula on your eye but you can't feel it. Once the flap is up, you stare at a green light while the laser fires. They told me the laser recalibrates every 1/6000th of a second so you could sneeze and it'll still be spot on. They spatula the flap back in place afterwards, give you your drops, and you see them the next day. I was in the room a total of 15 mins probably. I could see decently well after the procedure but there was a white film over everything which they said was normal due to micro bubbles from creating the flap. My eyes were a little sore and teary like allergy season but this was 90% gone after 2 hours. The big thing for me was keeping up on the drops and using the artificial tears which they said was optional the first few days since you're doing antibiotic and steroid drops as well but I found it really helped with the vision clarity. My vision was recheck and they did slit lamp exams on my follow-up visits. Lights seemed a little glary and annoying for about a month but did go away and now my vision is two lines better than 20/20 and I don't need any sort of eye drops anymore. Overall I had a good experience at Cole and have had a good outcome from the LASIK. I love not having to constantly keep tabs on my glasses and would gladly do the procedure again now that I've been through it.

He says that the doctor he's interacted with (Dr. Kaye) is extremely kind and helpful. He plans on going back for a LASIK consultation in the next six months and he's pumped about it. I'll update my review at that point. As far as my experience goes, this place is gorgeous and looks high class - the way you would picture an Optometrists / Ophthalmology office located in Westlake to look. When you enter the door to your right is the actual Optometry / Ophthalmologist 'doctor's office' type area and to the left is a gorgeous high end looking lens/frame shop. The walls are covered in jazzy, classy, and cute frames. You're guaranteed to find something that suits your tastes here. While most of the frames carried a high end brand name (Fendi, Versace, Coach) I overheard the technician inform a customer there were frames as low as $50 dollars available - which is great if you're a baller on a budget! All of the people I encountered here (the receptionist on the doctors' side and the technician in the frames area) were all smiles and willing to help. If I ever need contacts/glasses this will definitely be the location I choose!
