The dental hygienist was very thorough during my latest cleaning and wore plenty of protective gear, so I felt safe and comfortable. Dr. Grossman is very caring and kind (always a pleasure to see him!). I love Dr Shapiro and have been a patient for 5 years. Make sure you check with them before scheduling any procedures. Very disappointed in this office now, and it makes me very sad to say this. Now I have to find a new periodontist in the middle of my implant process.

My primary dentist sent me to Dr. Kiefer years ago for a gum graft. I was nervous because many…read moreyears before I'd had a very bad experience with that procedure. But I'd had a good one with the periodontist whose practice Dr. Kiefer took over. So, I was again up in the air, not knowing the doctor and how it would go. It went fabulously. Everyone was very nice and Dr. Kiefer proved to be an excellent clinician and even gave me her cell phone number, a "home care" package with an ice pack and more. Fast forward to the present -- time for another gum graft. This time I referred myself to Dr. Kiefer when my dentist confirmed my diagnosis. The wait was going to be horrendous (a problem with this practice, she's very popular and doesn't work full weeks) and they offered me a spot on the waiting list. Sure enough, I was in there for an evaluation right away. And I got in off the waiting list for the procedure right away too. Dr. Kiefer wonderful and her staff is too. Everyone is very accommodating and kind. I hope I don't need any more procedures, but this is the place to go.

I had a wonderful first impression with Dr. Un. I was looking for a new dentist, because my previous dentist had sold her practice, and I didn't have a good vibe from the new dentist. He suddenly recommended a lot of work that seemed unusual, since I'm so good with keeping up with my dental cleanings and any work that needs to be done. After research and asking local friends, I made an appointment with Dr. Siao and Dr. Un's office. Dr. Un looked at my mouth and the x-rays from my previous dentist and gave me a recommendation that I felt much more comfortable with. It was much more reasonable, and what I had been thinking in my head all along. I'm now a regular patient. :)

I did my second surgery today with Dr. Koo & he is so good about communicating while in the procedure-explaining how far along you are and what he's doing. Of course, it's always great to hear "Perfect!" in there too...which I did. Results from the first surgery were my best ever. My dentist highly recommended him...& now I know why! His front desk staff were so kind to call over to my pharmacy to ensure they'd have my antibiotics ready when I picked them up 15 minutes later...which they did. Another great experience

Thought a long time about leaving a review. I had my gums done about 2 years ago. This was always…read morean insecurity if mine and I finally figured out how to pay for it as insurance does not cover it. About 6-8 months after, I felt my gums hadn't looked as I wanted them to and just wasn't overall too happy with the result. So I called back and made an appt. I thought maybe my gums were growing back maybe since my teeth had looked different from the pictures I took right when I got the procedure (once it healed). To note, this was over $5,000 and I still felt guilty saying I wanted it touched up. Dr. Shapiro was nice but she told me they looked fine and charged me $50 for the appointment. I cried the whole way home. 2 years later, I'm looking into getting the procedure again with a different doc which will be another $5,000. While my experience was great the first time, I felt swept to the side when I wanted to go back even though this procedure took me forever to financially recover from. But I felt since it was my smile it mattered and I wanted to love it. Just for others who may be saving for this, make sure you advocate for yourself.
