I am writing to formally complain about a deeply troubling experience during my mother's…read moreappointment today. My mother is 85 years old, handicapped, and has significant difficulty walking even with a walker. She was scheduled for a denture adjustment appointment at 12:50 PM. At approximately 11:00 AM, I received both a text message and a phone call from your office instructing me to bring my mother through the back entrance so she would not have to walk a long distance. When we arrived, the back door was locked. There was no bell, no signage, and no way to alert staff. It was extremely cold and windy. I attempted to call the main office line multiple times, but no one answered. We waited outside for over five minutes, during which time I could not safely leave my mother standing, as she was at risk of falling. Eventually, a staff member named Melissa opened the door while taking out the trash. She refused to let us enter and repeatedly told us to go to the front entrance, stating that staff "do not work in the back." I calmly and respectfully explained multiple times that your front desk had specifically instructed us to use the back entrance and showed her the text message confirming this. Despite this, she refused to assist us, refused to contact the front desk, and continued questioning me in a confrontational manner rather than helping an elderly disabled patient out of the cold. After several minutes of unnecessary argument, I stated I would take my mother back to the car and go to the front desk myself. Only then did Melissa say my mother could come inside and sit in the waiting area. Shortly afterward, another staff member, Holly, became involved. Instead of addressing the situation or acknowledging the failure in handling a disabled patient, she immediately defended Melissa. At no point did either staff member acknowledge that my mother's safety and comfort should have been the priority. This situation reflects a serious failure in basic customer service, communication, and care for elderly and handicapped patients. At minimum, my mother should have been immediately allowed inside and seated while staff clarified any internal confusion. I expect better treatment for vulnerable patients and hope this matter is taken seriously, and not question patients like some legal experts! I AM TOTALLY SHOCKED THAT I GOT A LETTER FROM CHRISTINE THE OFFICE MANAGER THAT THEY WILL NOT BE PROVIDING SERVICES TO ME ANYMORE, EVEN THOUGH THEY MISTREATED ME AND MY HANDICAP MOTHER, ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, BY NOT ADMITTING THEIR FAULT!

*UPDATE* The complete story is in the reviews below. My daughter was seen at Advanced Dental over…read morethe summer. She had a very minor cavity on an upper tooth and a more serious issue on a lower tooth. The dentist who worked on her tooth decided to work on the easier issue on the top and did not work on the more serious issue with the lower tooth at all. Shortly afterward that dentist was no longer employed by Advanced Dental. However, instead of notifying us about the situation, no warning was given and no one from Advanced Dental let us know that from that point forward they would no longer be willing or able to treat our daughter. Instead, they waited until my wife took time off from work to bring our daughter in for her next appointment and when she arrived, she was told that our daughter wouldn't be seen because they no longer had a pediatric dentist. So, apparently something that could have been avoided with a 10 second phone call turned into my wife missing a half day of work and my daughter getting no dental work done. In the meantime our daughter's tooth began to get worse and Advanced Dental refused to complete the work they originally promised would be done. We tried to find other dentists but no one could see her at all or immediately, including the so called referrals that we received from Advanced Dental. Eventually, we found a dentist in Stoughton called Children's Dental Health Center and they could see her relatively quickly, but by the time she was seen her tooth had decayed so badly that she was almost in need of a root canal. She lived in pain for weeks. Thankfully, her tooth was saved but it was extremely close. As you can see, since then all we've been told by Advanced Dental is how they did nothing wrong and how they did all they could. Laughable. But, in response I would suggest that if a business of any nature starts a project and is then incapable or unwilling to finish it, at the very least they should inform or possibly warn the customer in advance. Obviously, a child suffering is extremely serious, but I would even hope that a roofer would let me know that they couldn't finish my roof before the next rain storm. I would hope that a mechanic would let me know that they couldn't finish fixing my transmission prior to me coming to pick up my car on the day I was scheduled to leave for a cross country road trip. But, I guess that kind of common decency was, in my opinion, lost on whoever is running Advanced Dental. It seems like the only word their staff knows in NO. Obviously, I'm only one voice but it seems like there are plenty of other unhappy people who have used this company. I couldn't recommend any more strongly to be weary of this dentist and try as hard as you can to find another dental organization that will hopefully not just abandon you or your child mid-project. And like I already mentioned, my wife and I were patients at Advanced Dental for over ten years and our children have been going there since they were born. In my opinion, I have no other word to describe this situation other than outrageous!

The whole team is thoughtful, GENTLE, consultative, and kind. Dr. Hasan is knowledgeable, smart, and has fantastic bedside manner. My husband and I have had great dental work done, and the hygienists have been fabulous. Rarely ever any discomfort or pain, and if I've called out that it's painful, they immediately do what they can to make sure I'm comfortable. Even recently, my 2 year old chipped his teeth and we got him in to Dr. Hasan pretty quickly. She eased our worry (the parents) with a calm and light hearted approach, to an easy-fix situation.
