About three years ago, I had a bridge done there, and it was a terrible experience. My gums never healed properly, I had a bad odor coming from my mouth, and the bridge was done incorrectly. Despite charging me a large amount of money, the bridge didn't even last three years. I later went back for a crown issue, and the first thing the dentist said was that I needed the tooth pulled and to pay $5,000. The very next day, I went to another dentist in Attleboro, who was honest, skilled, and truly cared about saving my tooth. He was able to save it and redo the bridge for a reasonable price. Now, they are trying to charge me for services that were never performed. This is completely unacceptable. Please do your research before going to Milford Dental Group. Do not even take your dog there. There are plenty of honest, competent dentists who actually care about their patients--this place is not one of them.

I had a dental emergency in August with two broken teeth that were infected. It was one of those rough patches in life where I had also recently been laid off and everything seemed to be going wrong. Not only did Milford Dental Group see me that same morning I called in excruciating pain and treat my immediate dental emergency but the staff and Dentist Dr. Awad treated me with genuine care and consideration as if I was family and what started as a one time emergency visit has become my Dentist for life. I never felt like a stranger from the moment I walked into the office. I am one who has spent my life at age 55 avoiding the dentist because of awful experiences as a child and even as an adult. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually look forward to my next visit and am on a regular dental regimen now to have my oral hygiene the best it has been in my lifetime. I must name each person by name who treated me with such welcoming care and compassion: Rayssa, Leslie, Sarah, Emily (the best hygienist ever!) and of course Dr. Awad the best dentist in the area I challenge you to find better 11 out of 10! Thank you all for all that you do it is truly appreciated by me! :-)

The staff was very kind, they made me feel listened to, and when they found cavities I was glad I could go back the next day to fix it. The day I got my cavities done was a whole different story. When I went in that day, I made two things VERY clear: I was anxious, and I would need more numbing than the average person. Every other place I have gotten cavities filled at has listened and given me extra doses of numbing agent if I needed it, even stopping treatment to add more. I got the gel and one shot, and by the time they started working I couldn't feel my teeth but I was less numb than I thought I should have been. My cavity was far back, so it was going to hurt my jaw regardless. They put something for me to bite in my mouth after they sprayed water in the back of my throat and I flinched. As the procedure went on, my jaw began to hurt a LOT, right around where all the work was being done. I told them it hurt, and they kept going. I tried to power through, and thought I was doing okay, but as the pain increased my anxiety got worse. My whole body was shaking on the table and tears started coming out of my eyes. I even wiped them away! They just kept working, and didn't stop until I raised my hand. I then cried for a few minutes and had to calm down a lot. After that they asked me if I was okay throughout the rest of the process, but how could they have not realized I was in distress? By the end of the procedure I could feel what they were doing to my teeth, they did NOT use enough numbing agent. The cherry on the cake was when at the end, after I had cried and been obviously upset, the dentist told me I should get Invisalign or braces because my jaw is misaligned. NOT THE TIME!! I thought I was okay, but the second I walked out of that waiting room I broke down and sobbed. I didn't stop crying for at least half an hour after, I felt so confused and hurt. I had told them I was anxious and I would need extra numbing, and I felt ignored. I have never cried during a filling before. It was the worst experience I have had in a dentist office, and I will not be returning.

Ahh, my buddy Barry. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways…read more 1. He was horrified the first time I came in. Not because of anything I had done, but because of the mess my last dentist had left. I started going to Dr. Armet when I was about 17. During my first visit, he makes a comment about the crazy amount of cement still left on my teeth from when I had my braces. He asks how long ago I had them taken off, thinking my answer was going to be sometime in the recent past. My answer: 4 years ago. He couldn't believe my old dentist left it all there for so long. He then took the time to try to remove it. Now I have fun spots on my teeth from all that cement that had been there for like 6 or 7 years. 2. What? You're not supposed to feel like you're in a torture chamber when you're at the dentist? Who knew? Not me, that's for sure. At least until I started seeing Barry. So he's drilling my teeth, and I'm flinching. Dr: Can you feel that? Me: Yes. Dr: Why didn't you say something? Me: What? I'm not supposed to be able to feel anything? Dr: Of course not, tell me when you feel it, and we'll numb you right up. Me: Really? I was a kid when I started seeing my first dentist. It was my only experience. I had no idea that wasn't just how things were supposed to be. Apparently the first dentist was cool with all the pain, crying, and screeching because he was hitting unnumbed nerves with the freaking tools. Thanks, man. 3. I no longer live out this way. But I still see Barry. Sometimes people are surprised that I'd want to drive out there for the dentist. If they read this, they might understand. 4. My hygenist is awesome. I've been seeing the same woman for years and years. She rocks. Yay, Deb. 5. Liz, the receptionist, is so nice. She gets that I'm one of those people where if I have my next appointment booked before I leave, I'll show up at the scheduled time. If I don't have the appointment, I'm not going to call and make one, and it's going to be years before you see me again. Because of this, they see me every six months. So, that's a smattering of reasons why Barry and his crew are awesome. I'm sure there are more. But I think you get the idea.

His staff is guick, efficient and will present you for your dental appointment in a short period of time. Let's be frank, he does not waste your time or co-payment value. I have had many dentists, but he is a fully qualified general dentist who will provide excellent dental care. He practices with the latest technologies, and takes a genuine concern with the patient's tolerance for pain. I continue to get good care from Dr. Armet and his staff, but they are not a cosmetology clinic. Difficult patients, who need special care, should seek a boutique dentist, who offers gas, music relaxation and massages elsewhere.

As a child I had a very negative experience with dental care and have to admit I have never felt comfortable and have a history of avoiding trips to the dentist. I have to say that my experience with Aesthetic Dental of Bellingham completely negated my former experience. I think I have found a service that makes patient comfort a priority. For the first time in my life I look forward to continuing dental care and getting long overdue dental work completed. Unequivocally, I can say that no one in the office knew of the negative experience I had as a child, leading me to believe that the compassion and gentleness exhibited to me is just "second nature" to the staff. It just comes naturally. Thank you for your compassion! I hope you can begin to understand the difference you have made. I am grateful. Mike Kearney
