Dr. Mischley has been one of the best dentists I have ever gone to! He will do whatever he can to save a tooth before pulling, him & his staff always make sure you are comfortable & feeling no pain. I started going to him when I was in active addiction & have now been clean & sober a little over 7 year. He's always been nothing but nice & has never been judgmental towards my background, he treats me just like any other patient unlike many doctors I've had in the past. Always cracking jokes & laughing. He made me promise to show up & take care of myself & he'd do whatever he could to save my teeth from permanent removal & he did just that & still continues to do so. Concerning implants and crowns, not good. Several times the 'completed' work came out while chewing food.

I went here for a cleaning and they assured me I was covered by insurance. They ran up a $700 plus bill for cleaning, cavity and a full set of x-rays. I then received a bill stating I was not covered but would only charge me $400 and I said It was my responsibility to make sure insurance covered me. read more

I have been to a few dentists over the years good and bad. I would say dr. Mischley was one of the best!!! I despise going to any type of doctors office. I show up late often because of panic attacks about the appointment. I had this really bad hack dentist when I w as a kid and I won't go into that. In my teen years I went to Dr Curtain in Avon who is also a fabulous dentist. Well I've been without insurance for too long luckily my husband recently received coverage at his company. Well it was time to pick a new dentist. I let my husband be the lab rat first. He told me it went fine. So ok, still, anxiety over how my teeth might be terrible after years of . First visit I was late. They were very forgiving. Turned out I had a couple of small cavities. Ok so it went well! The cavity might be the test! Ok Yes I was late again! He was very gracious about it. I never said I was sorry because my mind was on ....ok grin and bear it and get the hell out of there. Ok so he puts the first shot in ,I didn't even notice a pinch .. He tells me he can't do both teeth . Fair enough I was so late. He started work on my tooth . No pain whatsoever! He puts the needle into the other side and tells me he can do the other after all. I think ok since there was no pain I might as well get it over with. I feel a little pain when he puts the needle in. No worries it was still not bad . He starts drilling . I jump a shooting pain! I apologize. He apologizes . Gives me another round. Drills then a stabbing pain I jump again. He tells me that I must have a really sensitive nerve. He apologizes again! Then he puts the needle up by the root and apologizes if it hurt because it's not a pleasant place to get a needle. It hurt a little no biggie ! It was low on the pain scale. I never even felt it on the other side I thought....... wow ! He is a dentist sorcerer! Finally. The third round worked, drilling was ok pain was very minimal. I give dr Mischley five stars because he knew I was In pain and immediately stopped. Some dentist would just keep going. I try to just deal with it because it has happened so many times before. My point is...... He knew I was in pain, I would have told him to keep going but he refused until it was completely numb in there. I was also shaking like a leaf and he was so polite he never even brought attention to it. I've had a lot of dentists get angry with me for being startled when they hit that nerve. I once gently pushed a dentists hands away, my last one who was in Norwood . He acted like I was crazy. So I just gave up going. I would say this was the most pleasant any healthcare professional has ever been to me! I even had a pillow for my head. This gentlemen is a dental sorcerer!!, I wish all doctors were this way!! I was too shaky to drive home so I noticed a cute florist and consignment shop two doors down. I also recommend this place for the anxious people . I poked around in there found some really nice trinkets. The shop was vacant upstairs they were playing music from the forties. I felt as though I was at my grandmothers house. If I could give Dr Linda Albert in Walpole MA no stars I would. Signed up for YELP just to warn others: DO NOT GO HERE. Consult went great and I thought I was in good care to begin the 2 crowns I need and was able to get at a fraction of the cost bc I found a dentist in the careington care network. One of the teeth had a new cavity in it so we did that one first as it was sensitive to cold. She drilled my tooth for over an hour nonstop while tugging aggressively on my cheeks which I kept saying hurt and I went from sensitive to cold to nonstop excruciating pain for 2 weeks until my second appointment (which was to put the crown on) Had to be numbed for this bc for the first time in 47 years I was crying in a dentist chair...CRYING!! she took another x-ray and assured me she was nowhere near my root and put a sealant on and referred me to a root canal specialist (that was not in the network and charged a $200 consult fee) Was told to sit with this a few weeks and see if it alleviated the pain with no explanation of how or why it worsened. I foolishly waited 7 weeks to be sure and when I made the appointment we allowed enough time to also begin the second crown. Not one mention that bc I waited this could cause a problem with my crown not fitting. Ironically the office called the day before and asked if I could come in early. I had broken a piece of bonding so I said sure if she could fix that as well. Arrived 10 mins late and then waited another 20. 30 minutes to fix a hairline chip of bonding then had to be numbed again just to remove the temporary (and wait even more for it to take effect) only this time something hit my tongue during her ever so "gentle" jab which caused it to start tingling and was just told "don't fight it" when the tears started for the SECOND time in her chair as well as in my lifetime of dental work. This is my 5th crown and I've never needed Novocain on the follow up visit; let alone a second one...I suspect something else is going on here but Dr Albert has zero possibilities as to why I'm still in enough pain to warrant Novocain on a crown fitting. Was VERY rudely told there was not enough time to start my second crown (Didn't I come in early to do all 3 things and make a long appointment in the first place?) Guess my time isn't a factor here only hers which is evident by the snails pace with with she moves. Think they gave me someone else's crown bc it was a mile too high and after an hour of drilling the inside to try and make it work and running dental floss next to it ( all while never once asking how the pain was, did I have a consult, or explain the point of this dental floss procedure repeatedly being done) and again being extremely aggressive and rough, in addition to being downright rude in addressing me when she even bothered to do so except to say it was my fault the crown didn't fit bc I waited "a number of months" to come back. Did my bones grow in the last 7 weeks? How is it that my temporary still fits fine? And no one from the office could call to warn me of this possibility? I wasted another 2 hours only to have new impressions made and the torture of having to see her one last time to put the new crown on and live w the sensitivity that I thought was going to go away by having the tooth crowned yet it remains despite me being out $600 and my options were...SILENCE. NO BEDSIDE MANNER. I've been to numerous dentists throughout my life and have never ever had such a horrible experience. She's extremely slow, extremely aggressive, extremely rude and speaks in a degrading manner even to the assistants. If I hadn't already paid for this crown I would go elsewhere to start over as I already have an appt with another network dentist to begin the second crown. Moral of the story is you get what you pay for and the $1000 I saved by getting a $600 "bargain" would have been $ well spent to never have had to encounter this horrible, horrible dentist. i needed to find a new dentist , i had gotten a few leads and this was one of them from a coworker. he was in town so i stopped by and made an appointment for a cleaning. very friendly staff. the hygienist was nice and did a great job. i had to have a filling fixed i found out. made an appointment and stopped back in a week. i could not believe how fast and relatively pain free an experience i had. they made my old dentist seem barbaric by comparison. i have recommended him to all my friends and family read more

Dr. Mischley was my dentist for years. He is very kind, talented and personable. Unfortunately, I had an appointment scheduled for an afternoon when the meteorologists had predicted snow. No snow had fallen yet when I showed up for my appointment. The door was locked and the lights were out. I had confirmed my appointment only the day before. I did not receive any missed calls, texts nor emails about the office closing early. I realize technology can be unreliable at times so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called and left a voicemail explaining the situation and asking for someone to call me to reschedule. 6 MONTHS passed. The next communication I received was an email reminding me I was due for a cleaning. I was beyond disappointed that no one had called to apologize for the mistake so I decided to switch to a different office. When I called to have them transfer my records the receptionist asked if there was a reason I was leaving. I very reluctantly told her the situation (avoiding conflict) and followed up by saying I chose an office within the town where I live. Her response was, "OK so it's more convenient." That was that. I was speechless. Not even an acknowledgment of their error nor an apology! VERY disappointing. Everyone makes mistakes, just take responsibility and move on.
