Worst hair cut ever. My hair cut was uneven and he created so many layers, my hair looked 100% thinner.

This one's a relatively review so I'll get right to the review…read more I came here on a Saturday afternoon and got a haircut from Coco, one of the barbers there. I wasn't too sure exactly what to get but I told her about what I was looking for in a haircut and she helped me figure out exactly what kind of cut I wanted! During the haircut, I chatted with all the staff, who were quite friendly, but also seemed to respect others who weren't so keen on striking up a conversation. In the end, I really liked how my haircut turned out as well so well done on that front! I think my only reservation was the cost, as the haircut costed $30 in total, which was quite a lot for me, perhaps since I'm used to suburban prices, whereas Belltown Barber is in the heart of Seattle. Overall, it turned out really nice and I will probably return here in a month or so to get my hair cut again.

Working downtown it's very convenient to walk over to his shop and get a cut. You can call ahead of time and make an appointment, or simply walk-in and wait in line. It still to this day surprises me how much Dave remembers from conversations with each of his customers. He will ask about stuff we discussed months prior. This really is the lost art of a personable, and easy going town barber. I hope he never retires! TIP: It's always good to call ahead. Dave sometimes takes off early or maybe out sick. However he's always very good about recording the message on his voicemail to let you know he's not there currently. He is open normal barber shop hours, so closed on Sunday and Monday. Typical open hours I've seen are 10AM - 5PM.

I also had soft layers starting mid length to frame the face slightly but he gave me such harsh layers that are not even gradual and looks like there are two levels in my hair! He asked me how I part my hair still gave me layers that does not match my parting! I'm so disappointed. Same salon last year June had a stylist that did such a great job on my hair but he left the salon since. But this stylist (Nello Addabbo) has ruined it for me I've had a few bad haircut experiences before but never this bad. :( Edit: The owner personally reached out and offered to fix my hair. He did a great job, and I truly appreciated the follow-up and care.

Okay, I try not to write bad reviews, but this one was a long time coming…read more I've been a customer of this location for 5 years. Unfortunately my barber Danny passed away, RIP, he was amazing. With that, half of their staff also quit or moved. So I was left with only 2 options Callen and Megan. When I originally booked Callen, the day before they called me to cancel his appointment saying he was also taking a day off, so I rebooked with Meghan for whatever time was available. After getting a cut with Meghan one time, she rushed my cut completely ignoring my requests on my desired hair length. On top of that she was not in a good mood/attitude, which I can understand, so many changes happened, so I took it as it is, everyone has those days. I decided to give it a shot again. Next time I got a cut from Meghan once again, she wanted to rush me off the chair within 10 mins, I was more firm on my requests and asked that my hair length needs to be shorter, multiple times. Until we got close enough to what I needed. She asked if I wanted to wash my hair, I said no, I said just a blow dry and it's good to go. She completely ignored my request, blew away all cut hair from my shoulders but left my hair wet and said all done, bye. You can't finish cut without drying hair, cause you can't see the final look. As I suspected, when I got home and dried my hair, it was terrible, uneven, pieces sticking out from sides and top, just like the time before. So once again I had to cut my own hair for another 30 mins trying to fix the damage, so it would look acceptable, just like the last time. And plus with that, all the attitude for a $65-70 haircut after tax and tips. Not again. Rudy's lots a loyal customer for good.

As advertised. Good, friendly service. Also quick. On time. Easy reservation process online.read more

I think Joevir gave me a pretty good haircut; he even recommended I part my hair the other way because apparently my face/head is somewhat asymmetrical and looks better with the part going left to right. And even though Yuki sells a wide variety of your usual salon products (Sebastian etc.) Joevir dipped a little wooden spoon in a tub of Dippity-Do to style my hair into a gelled sort of updo. Belltown dude style. Men's cut: $40.

She asked me to sit on one of three chairs at this place and we discussed for 2-3 minutes what exactly I wanted to get out of this haircut. I liked that she was nice and patient in hearing me out and then added her advice. The setting at this place is a little bit unusual. While your hair is being cut you are not facing the front big mirror. Instead your chair or swirled and you are facing a big Samsung TV. I was apprehensive about this setting as I like to see what is being done to my hair. But the lady did not do anything that I didn't want or explain earlier and would ask me before any major cut. Also, there is a small mirror next to the TV in case you are really obsessed with how you look every single minute. The haircut ended with a nice neck shave (at the back of your neck). She also sprinkled an after shave and applied a dry gel before combing my hair. All of this for just $25 plus tip. During this entire time, I told her how I found about this place through Yelp. And as we discussed more, we realized that the information on Yelp is outdated and for some reason they can't update it. So here I am posting the latest information as per my discussion with the lady.
