I am so glad that I made an appointment with her. I have been seeing her regularly for the past year and have noticed a dramatic difference in my health and well-being. Originally being treated for women's health issues, I can honestly say that due to her treatment, I am in much better health that I was a year ago. She is very knowledgeable in traditional Chinese medicine and herbal medicine. Through the use of acupuncture and herbal medicine, my emotions, hormones, temperament, and general well- being has found balance. Her warm and friendly personality makes the initial appointment and follow up appointments very welcoming. She takes every necessary precautions when it come to cleanliness in her lobby and treatment rooms. Even now during the time of COVID, she makes sure to take every precaution to ensure the well-being over every patient. Additionally, she takes the time to listen to every symptom even aches and pains that seems small or insignificant. Since Chinese medicine looks at the whole body, all of these symptoms can helped be relived though treatment. Even though I was being treated for hormone imbalance, she is also able to treat my knee pain, from a previous injury, plantar fasciitis, sleeping issues, and mental health (including stress, anxiety, and depression). She has even recommended essential oils and supplements that have helped the well-being of my husband and daughter with stress and flu/colds. Melissa is very knowledgeable and innovative by using the latest technology and treatments as well. I have been using light wave patch's that helps treat knees pain, plantar fasciitis, and sleep issues between sessions which have been incredibly effective. I have referred every person I know to her because I believe in her so much. I am grateful to have found her for my health and sanity. The treatments and herbal medicine are very effective and the cost is reasonable. I definitely would recommend Melissa Roxas and Little Sage Acupuncture and herbal medicine.

Jessica Makes Miracles!…read more For those who know me, you know I'm usually sarcastic, but this is something I genuinely want to share because it changed my life. I struggled with chronic back pain starting at age 25. By the time I was 34, it had become so severe that I had to go to the hospital. The doctors prescribed muscle relaxers, which provided temporary relief but never truly solved the problem. My wife recommended Jessica, and although I was skeptical, I decided to give her a chance. I started seeing Jessica once a week, and after just one month, my years of back pain were gone! The difference was incredible. Later on, I was even able to complete a half marathon--something I'm not sure I could have done if I were still dealing with that pain. But that wasn't the only experience that amazed me. I was also diagnosed with Bell's palsy, which caused one side of my face to droop. I was told there was no specific cure, so I decided to give Jessica another challenge. I began seeing her shortly after my symptoms appeared, and within a month, I experienced a remarkable recovery. My doctors were amazed by how quickly I recovered. I'm sharing this because I know some people may be skeptical about acupuncture. I was one of them! I can only speak from my own experience, but Jessica made a tremendous difference in my life, and I'm incredibly grateful for what she did for me. Please give her a chance and keep an open mind. You never know what might help until you're willing to explore your options. Jessica certainly changed my life, and I hope others can find the same kind of relief and hope that I did. Thank you, Jessica, for everything you've done for me! I will post pictures later of my facial droop

I definitely recommend visiting & trying it out for yourself!

I can't believe I found a good Korean acupuncture and cupping spot in Long Beach!…read more I've grown up seeing "spots" from cupping on my mom and acupuncture and even have had to get some acupuncture from my 20s, 30s and now 40s. I can't tell you how amazing I feel after acupuncture & cupping! If you've never tried it and have suffered back pain or neck pain or sciatica... let me tell you... THIS FIXED ME! More than deep or Thai massages or chiropractor adjustments... I've tried them all. And what works is a good cupping and acupuncture session! I called today because I couldn't deal with the soreness and stiffness in my lower back anymore! I'm too young to be dealing with this! And I lost 20 lbs since April & got rid of a toxic, cheating, abusive ex husband. So my body was trying to cope with everything all at once. And I finally found this place on Yelp, called this morning during a walk on the beach and got a slot for 2pm today! I couldn't wait to come! Finally came, parked in the structure nearby & got to the 3rd floor and it was peaceful inside. So good to see Korean words on Chinese medicine packets and drinks. (I'm Korean-Chinese-Japanese so it felt like home!) I used the restroom and came back and immediately got a room and shortly after, a Dr with glasses came in (sorry, I forgot your name) and she was so calming and reassuring after checking what my issues were. I got topless and laid down and she immediately went to work when she got back in the room. The cold oil & cupping alone felt soooo good on my back! The technique was amazing! Then the acupuncture... I asked her why massage and chiro wasn't helping and she explained to me about my muscle and the tightness she noticed even with the needles and when she did an acupressure mini massage... she pointed out & confirmed for me the sciatica area. I'll be back to work on my knee, wrists and calf. I highly recommend this place! Thank you!

I AM SO GRATEFUL I STARTED WORKING WITH DR. THIENY because my life has changed dramatically. I went from weeklong headaches during my cycles, to nearly none at all. After finishing up the "rough" part of my day, I figured "wait... If he gets a nice massage, I probably should too." I immediately called Monté and asked if he could change things to a couples massage, and he was able to accommodate. I've had a decent amount of massages, and let me tell you, Monté knows his craft. You're welcomed into a peaceful setting, and he gets to know what your specific needs are - and genuinely understands. *This is important, because many get massages and don't know what to target, or think they should just go with whatever. These types of massages can really leave you in more pain, and without actual relief. Monté and Keilor listened to both of our needs, issues, and when they went to town on our backs especially, BOTH of us (my SO and I) were surprised at random spots that they found and worked out. We're used to existing with chronic pain, but left BodyWork Clinic as noodles. It's almost surreal how for once, my legs didn't hurt. I was able to sleep through the night afterwards without being woken up by pain, or spasms. That's so important. I'm surprised there aren't tons of reviews on this place on Yelp, but the location can be difficult to spot if you're not intentional on finding it. So locals, here's your sign to treat yourself (or someone else), and a true nod of approval.
