A Recovery Journey Worth Celebrating…read more After major neck surgery, I specifically requested Southland Physical Therapy by name--and they exceeded every expectation. This facility became my path back to full conditioning, and I'm grateful for every session. What struck me immediately was the diversity of the patient community: athletes training for competition, working professionals recovering from injuries, people of all ages united by one thing--a willingness to do the work. That environment itself became motivating. The entire team deserves recognition. Every therapist and PTA brought expertise and genuine care to their work. The operational excellence impressed me too: reminders arrived the day before appointments, they consistently ran on time despite high volume, and every interaction came with a smile. A special acknowledgment to Conner, who balanced knowledgeable instruction with the perfect level of challenge. Each week, he pushed me just beyond what I'd accomplished the week before--exactly what I needed to progress. Beyond physical recovery, Southland reminded me of something essential: how to stay positive regardless of the challenges we face. That lesson extends far beyond the treatment room. If you're willing to put in the work, this is where you want to be.

I've had positive experiences with the physical therapists at this location but the front desk…read morestaff ruins it all for me. I was waiting to write this review but my recent experience over the phone just pushed it over the edge. The front desk staff makes me feel like I am bothering them. Even checking in- come on it's part of your job!! Looking at previous reviews it seems like it has been an ongoing issue. I was overcharged on my first 2 appointments and ended up with a large credit. I was notified the therapist I was working with was leaving and the only other therapist that has experience with my issue does not have availability for a few weeks. So I wanted my credit back as a check- it showed on my insurance application that the claim was processed so I called in. I spoke to Jaden and she said that it was not sent back to them yet so they would call me back when it did. I confirmed with them that they would call me back and she said she wouldn't just leave me hanging.. Then I said thank you, bye and she proceeded to just hang up without any bye or anything. I don't know why every front desk employee seems like they are miserable working there- not sure if it is management or just all of their bad attitudes every time. Won't be returning. Please retrain the front desk!! Makes me feel uncomfortable interacting with them.

I've been coming to here for 2 years now and, I'm so glad I was referred by my Primary care MD…read more I've had low sciatica low back pain that is so crippling (up to 3 weeks) when I pinch the nerves in that area that I'm unable to walk, sleep and do other activities of daily living. Also, I lean either to the left or to the right depending on the area Dr. Richard Docherty MD and his staff are the God send I never knew existed. From Crystal my "How 'ya doin" front desk assistant (we crack each other up (and diss & dish like we were on Wendy Williams) whom is personable, compassionate and helpful. The MA's who are really thorough and cool and, of course Dr. D. MD himself who is mellow and a "just let me know where it hurts and we WILL fix it" kinda guy. I've been to many orthopedists and never had any of them do more of a thorough work up to find out just why I continue to suffer. The x-rays, tests, medical history and good listening skills provided me and Dr. D with the real problem that happened 46 years ago. That was when I was working in the OR (while I was going to college) and assisted the rest of the OR team in pulling a patient off of the operating table. I pinched 3 nerves that were time bombs of a congenital nature just waiting to go off. Also, Dr. D was able to determine that I have a mild case of scoliosis that is contributory to the reoccurring injuries every 3-6 months. Also, I have all of this on a CD for use in providing information in the future too. He even gave me Rx's (thank you Percocet and Darvocet-N) for the pain just in case I have relapses before my next epidural, where they do painless cortisone injections between the disks to keep the pressure off of the nerves. He is an associate with several other pain management MD's in this office and they are ALL top notch in their field. So, if you are looking for relief and want better over all quality of life, skip your next Chiropractor visit (of which I've spent thousands of $$$ on with little relief) and check them out.

The FIVE stars that I want to give this place is all because of Tymika! She literally remembers…read moreyour name and treats you like a person not just another patient. She is very attentive to detail and never dropped the ball when she was helping me out. I wish I could say this about the other girls that sit behind her. Every time I would walk in they would just blankly stare which was uncomfortable but Tymika put on her smile and made the office feel welcoming Physical therapy department is a great office to work with. They always tried to find a solution for me with my neck and back pain. Dr. Dworkin is a great doctor as well! I like how he literally spent the time hearing my concerns and didn't seem like he was rushing in to see me. He always made it clear that if I had any concerns I could reach out. Not done with my visits but so far Tymika, PT department, and Dr. Dworkin are a fantastic team!

Dr. Chao saw me for 10mins top then sent me back another day for Dr. Srinivas. Mind you, I was in a wheelchair. Their building is not accessible friendly at all for an orthopedic clinic (no automatic door or door button), so entering it by myself was a dreadful experience. They then bill me $150 for both visits, which is $75 for a visit I am not entitled to. Calling their billing department and they replied "There's nothing we can't do because there were written notes." If I had known I would be billed that much money for someone else's mistake, I would have reported! The cherry on top? They terminated contract with my insurance company at the beginning of this year so they could not take me in for my last checkup. I tried working with my insurance for the CARE Act, but to no avail. Dr. Srinivas was splendid but I would not recommend this clinic to anyone else.

In 2015 I suffered a hemorrhagic stroke. I was in the hospital for several months and in that time,…read moreDr. Yafeh became like an extended family member. She is more than just a neurologist or doctor, she truly cares about her patients. You never feel like you are being rushed or that she needs to move on to her next patient. Dr. Yafeh always gives you her undivided attention, listens, and ask questions. I feel very seen and heard, and that is priceless! Having a stroke at age 42 was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. Dr. Yafeh has been a key factor on my road to recovery. Additionally, the entire office staff at NeuroMedical Group are incredibly helpful and friendly.

Apparently all the reviews about their scheduling/desk staff is correct. I kept trying to use their…read more"hold my place in line" feature when calling in and never get a call back. After a week of this, I finally opted to just sit on hold. Turns out they never have a massive queue, the wait is never more than a few minutes. But the staff is an absolute nightmare. Today I spoke with "Hamza" and he talked really quietly unless he was talking over me (which he did the whole time) and refused to make any changes after I explained I have an Auditory Processing Disorder. He then put me on hold to speak to a colleague, left me on hold for nearly 10 minutes then returned to say I needed to send an email. I don't have an email address for them and when I asked why he couldn't schedule me if he's a scheduling operator is because his colleague said they needed my referral first. I told him I have a PPO and don't need one but I can provide contact for the 3 doctors that made the reco I speak to a neurologist if they need. He said his colleague thought I had an HMO - I asked why he would think that and he didn't answer just said he would schedule me. I asked with who and he gave a name I didn't recognize. I asked him to stop, please because it was clear there'd been some miscommunication. He hadn't even taken my insurance so he'd be scheduling blind AND I was calling to get the availability for a specific neurologist at their location. When he again interrupted and reverted to speaking at an inconsistent pace/volume I stated this clearly wasn't working and asked if he could transfer me to someone else. He said yes, put me back on hold, and then rerouted me to the main menu instead. With no other option I re-entered the queue for scheduling operators only to wait my turn and be hung up on. I have since called back at least 5 times, and tried an alternate number for the office I found online. Every time, I wait in the queue, and then when my turn comes, I'm hung up on. I'm sure Hamza thinks he's hilarious but I will be reporting the behavior to my insurance company, and the ADA at bare minimum. I guarantee this behavior is not limited to his phone interactions and if this is how he treats someone with an APD, I cannot imagine how he treats stroke survivors and those with significant cognitive impairment.
