During a critical ultrasound, Dr. Villarosa used what looked like a decades-old machine that struggled to show anything clearly. He barely spent thirty seconds scanning before saying bluntly, "There's no fetus, no sac." Without any follow-up, no additional testing, and no second look, he told us it must be a miscarriage. Then, with zero empathy, he asked my wife if we'd prefer to "scrape it out" or take medication. Yes--he literally used the word "scrape." That's how casually he dismissed what could have been a viable pregnancy. He then told my wife to wipe herself off--like the whole thing was routine and insignificant. The coldness, the carelessness, and the outdated tools combined into one of the most horrifying experiences we've ever had. It felt like our baby's life didn't matter. We went to get a transvaginal ultra sound at a facility at st Mary's and luckily found that the fetus had a heart beat and is healthy. This is not medical care--it's malpractice waiting to happen. Avoid Dr. Villarosa at all costs. If you're already under his care, get a second opinion immediately. How many kids has this guy killed???

I arrived early for my 3pm appointment. At 4:42pm I see a hall light go off and a staff member leave...I decide I better go to the counter as it seems they may have forgotten about me???? I go to the front desk and ask the girl if I should reschedule my appointment (since they close at 5pm and I was there for a stress test which apparently takes some time). She says, "ok" and makes a new appointment for me in two more weeks . She NEVER asked why I wanted to reschedule and never apologized for my wait. After sitting in the waiting room for ONE HOUR AND FORTY SEVEN MINUTES I would think they would have some sort of empathy for the patient that just waited for nearly two hours for an appointment. Typical high desert service. I was so happy to find a doctor in the high desert that had more than two stars... sadly, this place is just like the rest of the medical offices up here. They don't give a S... about you or your time. I hope the office manager reads this and gets some customer service training for the person at the window that didn't give a crap about my exasperatingly long wait... the only thing she was worried about was getting to leave in 18 minutes. For starters, Deborah is so outstanding that I changed to her at the beginning of this year. As fabulous as Deborah is, Dr. Salwan is even more so! They are caring, compassionate, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. They explain diagnoses, tests, and treatments without sounding patronizing or condescending. Our sole problem with this office is that we've had problems with getting medications being sent to the wrong pharmacy, sometimes not sent at all. I deal with this by getting to know the women in the back office by name and addressing them whenever I call about any prescription problems. All in all, we are both quite happy with the way Dr. Salwan and his staff handle our medical care. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
