This is honestly one of the best doctors office experiences I've ever had. My family is prone to ingrown toenails and infections and this time around 2 rounds of keflex weren't doing enough. I found Dr. Joseph on Zocdoc and saw that he was a preferred provider for my ppo. Dr. Joseph fixed my ankle instability with a minimally invasive surgery. I was only off of my feet for 10 days, and then was able to walk with a boot for the next couple weeks. I was fully recovered in only a month and a half after surgery... and I probably could have started being active sooner, but I was being cautious. Dr. Joseph is a miracle worker. He treated me ten years ago and had saved me from so much pain I was experiencing at the time and now he is my husband's doctor. I'd be very careful going to Dr. Joseph. He is very surgery happy! I went in for your basic plantar fasciitis injury and was immediately "diagnosed" with damaged tendons in my ankle. This doctor stated that the tendons were why I was walking and favoring the side of my foot. It didn't occur to him that I favored the side of my foot because of the pain from the plantar fasciitis! I went and saw another podiatrist who prescribed conservative and straightforward treatment that has solved my problem. He didn't even have the equipment needed because he "ran out" that day and told me to buy a brace on Amazon. Seriously? This guy is a HUGE waste of time and money. He comes off as God's gift to medicine but is short on using the scientific method in his ridiculously wrong diagnoses. He also tries to pedal his farmed-out CBD oils and seems more interested in collecting a check than actually practicing healing. People like him give good doctors a lousy reputation; what a shame. Finally, the office shown here isn't even his actual office. He's a nomad doctor that roams cities for money. I should have looked at reviews where he practices. His office also up-charges when you get your bill via a service fee he passes on to his customers. I'd give no stars if I could. I've replaced this clown with a far more reputable doctor that helped solve my foot issue. Follow up: My insurance provided coverage less a copy that I couldn't pay at their office because nobody will accept payment. They said I could pay my balance with a card, but with a surcharge because they can't process payments themselves. How does a "professional" operate without the ability to accept payment?! I mailed them a check circa 1950 style and the idiots keep calling me for payment. I told them they can look forward to getting my check in the snail mail. Greedy morons. read more

Where do I begin with Dr. Joseph. This man works magic. He saw me doing box jumps at equinox and told me my left ankle is off. He sat me down right there and showed me that the tendons look like their overstretch and potentially torn. Having played soccer through college and rolled my ankle countless times I wasn't surprised but what was interesting was that I thought nothing significant was wrong til Robert sat me down and brought it to my attention. He suggested I come see him and get some xrays done on my ankle. I took his contact info and then kinda pushed it to the back of my head. Fast-forward a month or two and I end up rolling my ankle and this time it was different cause when it rolled it kinda popped out and got stuck and naturally I freaked out and reached out to Rob. He set up an appointment immediately and after xrays and mri were done it turned out I had blown out nearly all the tendons in my ankle and even had a little piece of bone fractured off and floating in my ankle. He said he would perform a new ankle stabilization procedure that he pioneered and that it would be a short recovery time and fix my ankle completely. He educated me on what exactly was going to be done and assured me it would be a quick and easy fix. He even went to the extent of calling a past client that he performed on and fixed both of that individuals ankles to tell me about the experience and recovery time and basically give me peace of mind, which I thought was really nice of him to do. He worked with my insurance providers to make sure I wasn't gonna come out of pocket too much on the operation and that was also amazing of him to do. When it came down to the actual surgery, it was short and sweet. He works fast and well. Minimal incision and minimal scarring. The recovery time went in stages: first 3 or so days staying off the ankle, keeping it elevated, and taking it easy. After the initial couple of days, I was on crutches and a boot for about a month. After about a month we were able to lose the crutches and just use the boot for about another month. At around week 8 I was able to remove the boot and was back on my feet. Then after 10 weeks I was able to start exercising again but taking it light on the ankle that was done. Its been about 5 months now and my ankle feels as good as new, the tightening and range of motion from the procedure has eased a bit and things feel natural again. Overall, Dr. Joseph made the whole process easy, made me feel like he had my best interest in mind both financially and with my physical health, and his years of experience and skills really reflected in my procedure and recovery. I would highly recommend him for any podiatry needs. Not to mention he's a really funny and good person. read more

When I had my first appointment with him, I was almost completely broken down by pain and the stress of that and the constant threat of being fired from work because of the pain. He knew what was wrong with my ankle immediately. Dr Joseph has the greatest bedside manner of any doctor I have ever been treated by. He motivated, supported and encouraged me through out my recovery. Without that I know I would have declined further into very poor health. Almost instantaneously after the third and final surgery I felt so much better and my pain had significantly declined. Now, 4 months after my surgeries I am so much healthier and completely stronger than I have ever been. It has been 20 years since my pain first started and after doing nearly 4 months of rehab after Dr Joseph fixed my ankle I can perform physically better than when I was playing water polo and participating in the junior Olympics and invitational only water polo tournaments. Dr. Joseph's knowledge, professionalism, and expertise sets him apart from other medical professionals, but more importantly, he is compassionate, honest, and genuine. In October, I had an injury to my big toe, I broke it and ripped a hole to the bone. An urgent care recommended Dr. Joseph, but by the time I saw him in Costa Mesa my toe was infected due to complications of diabetes. His visits were always a swift in and out and efficient. I had to have surgery to repair the toe and Dr Joseph, assured me, "I got You." He did a fabulous job on my toe, and told me at my follow up that he had saved my toe. He took out the infectious tissue and bone, but I had Osteomyelitis ( a bone infection), which would require an infectious disease specialist. I have since been through hospitals and IV therapy, and the doctors have all said without Dr Joseph's surgery I would have lost my toe. You could not be in better hands, he cares about his patients and I have always felt confident that he has had my best interest at heart.
