Everyone was super friendly and the exams were fast, painless and the technology seemed very cutting edge. I was happy with the service and the results and have made a follow up appointment to keep up on my regular eye health. Having been to…read moreone eye doctor for about 7 years, I was hesitant to go somewhere new, but I am SO glad I did. I ended up coming across Beacon Eye Care after my dad came here and sang their praises. I scheduled an appointment and from there, it was magic. When I walked into Beacon Eye Care (which literally looks like a house), the woman at the front desk was incredibly nice and the place was pretty empty, which is also something I could appreciate. I was then welcomed by Dr. Lauren Boutet, who was such a gem of an eye doctor. I talked to her about some eye irritation I had been having and how my other eye doctor kind of dismissed it as dry eyes. Lauren took the time to figure out exactly what was going on and it turns out, I have an intolerance to some contact solutions! Ever since she diagnosed this issue, my eyes haven't been irritated and they are feeling great. She also went through my eye exam and she was incredibly patient and really put me at ease. I honestly HIGHLY recommend Beacon Eye Care and definitely will be a faithful patient of theirs.

They were able to switch the lenses into a pair of sunglasses I still had, that were luckily an identical frame. They also helped make sure I had sunglass clip-ons to use until I could get a replacement. The place was clean, well staffed, and they provided absolutely fantastic customer service. She is incredibly nice and makes you feel comfortable about getting your eyes checked. My four stars are solely directed towards her and her work. If I were to rate my overall experience, I would probably give it three stars. The woman who takes you for pretest before your examination, I forget her name, is slightly rude. For instance, when doing the pressure test, I have a really hard time keeping my eyes open to get an accurate reading. When I went today, she had to retake the test numerous times and I could hear her heavy breathing and annoyance each time, which didn't help an already stressful situation. When she asked me questions, it felt rushed and like her mind was elsewhere. It just made for a stressful experience. Lastly, when ordering contacts or trying to schedule an appointment, it can be a challenge to reach them, and even after leaving a voicemail, sometimes you don't get a call back. Overall, the service of Juliann trumps the lack of customer service from the other workers, which is why I rate it four stars. If they could fix some of the those bumps, Family Eye Care could be really, really great in all aspects.

Anyway, they took fantastic care of me after that. We finally did the tiny corrective procedure I needed and the doc was not shy about scheduling as many follow ups as remotely necessary. I even canceled the last one since everything was fine. I've been happy with the results since. Should have amended this a while ago. Bottom line: I'm glad I did it, but I can't give full marks because of my particular extended experience that probably isn't common.

This place infuriates me…read more The last two/three times I've gone to them, had my contact exam, and ordered contacts, I've been very low on contacts and let them know this. I also haven't had a car. So, I pay an additional $9 on top of the crazy contact cost to have them shipped to me. Every single time they've told me to expect them to get to me in 4-5 business days. And every single time, it's two weeks later, I'm out of contacts, and I don't have them yet. The first time I called asking, they said whoops, they've been sitting here for a week and a half. They finally shipped them and I got them a couple days later. This time, it's been 15 days. I called at day 13 asking what was up. They put me on hold, then straight up lied to me and said they were out for delivery and would be there in a few hours. Two days later and they're nowhere to be found. No updates. I'm paying $9 for shipping and the contacts sit there for weeks until you literally call them and ask what's up. Now I'm out of contacts, and very frustrated. I know this is basic, but what the f***? These are my eyes! And these contacts cost an arm and a leg!!!! Do better plz. Sorry
