Avoid this dentist! I have a chronic problem with mouth ulcers that I've been dealing with for 5 years. I've seen multiple doctors, dentists and even had surgery for one that would not heal after nearly a month. I saw a specialist who told me it's a problem I'll likely suffer with for the rest of my life. That we can only try to treat it with steroids for the inflamation and pain medication. It is quite painful and rather constant. I can usually get by without pain medication for the less severe breakouts. But, when I have a bad breakout, it is tough to get through the day. My wife called and he was very sympathetic...to get me in the door! Once I was there, it was another story. He "claimed" to have the same problem, only monthly vs. weekly like I do and understood how painful they can be. He treated my sore which, as I predicted, has since made them worse before it will get better. That's what always happens when I have them "burned". Anyhow, he then refused to give me anything for the pain saying that he "doesn't give pain meds for canker sores". Btw, the specialist, who is obviously a much more qualified doctor, told me there is a big difference between mouth ulcers and canker sores. This guy (he doesn't deserve the term Dr.) either can't tell the difference or did not listen to me. Going to him was a waste of time! I hate when doctors try to tell you how much pain you are in or whether you need medication. I'm not some pill-popper who constantly has prescriptions for pain meds. It's only on occasion when my mouth is in so much pain I can hardly eat or speak. They tried to get me to make an appt, to return to this guy for a cleaning. No way! I'll take my business elsewhere.
