The park is very quiet, there were a few people here, but does not appear to be overly used on my visit here. They have an area for the kids and for.my short walks perfect and it's conveniently located near my work. Moreover there is a fueling station nearby, plenty of parking spots and you can grab food close by and have a nice picnic. The have everything you could want in a small park.

Its signature feature is the veterans memorial at the entrance. Flags honor the nation's military branches. However, without adequate explanation about those branches the memorial could confuse some visitors about what organizations make up the US military. For example, four brick columns in front recognize the US Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps. There's no column for the US Coast Guard, which the government's website states is one of the nation's military forces. Behind the columns the Coast Guard is included among the black obelisks for each military service unit. However, there's also an obelisk for the Merchant Marines, which a federal military website expressly says is not a US military branch, nor even a government agency. despite its having. (MMs are part of a civilian/government partnership. The group played an important role in maintaining vibrant ocean shipping lanes during World War II, and had the highest percentage of casualties because of its lightly armored ships.) As with similar military memorials, there's no recognition of the nation's newest branch, the US Space Force, which was formed in 2019.

Restrooms are connected to the picnic pavilion nearest the parking lot. Two foamy water retention ponds stretch alongside the entire park, creating an unwelcome feature. (They're fully fenced to prevent wandering children and others from falling in.) Reviewers elsewhere note the ball fields get busy in season on weekends, which I imagine makes getting into and out of the smallish parking lot a challenge.
