She was self-starting, hard-working, and thorough in helping us sort through two lifetime's worth of accumulations of all sorts, helping us make difficult decisions about what to keep and what to let go, and requiring almost no time or direction on our part--she knew from experience and intuition how to plan and prioritize, where her help was most needed, and also knowing what only we could do. She was sensitive, thoughtful and conscientious about identifying items of potential value, and finding respectful new homes for stuff we wanted to give away, and keeping stuff out of the landfill by donating to local community-based non-profit organizations whenever possible. She packed boxes and boxes of items etc. carefully and professionally for shipping across the country, and everything arrived in good shape. Without her help, my brother and I would have each needed to take another week or two off work without pay-she saved us not just hours but days and weeks of time. As we neared the end of our PTO, with still plenty of stuff in the house, Missy said "just be sure to take what you want, and I'll finish the rest and empty the house after you're gone--" and she did it (and even took trash and recycling bins down to the curb and back and sent us donation receipts for tax deductions). From booking, quote, to the moving job, to finishing up, they are super professional, efficient, and honest. The guys worked tirelessly for 10 hours and they didn't show a bit of slowdown. Everything was handled with care. We didn't even take items out of drawers. They moved the heavy furnitures, including a piano, with ease. Also I recommend their packing service. I had a few cabinets of glasses, cups, and dishes that I didn't have time to pack before they arrived. I estimated the packing would take me at least 4 hours. But one guy in D&L finished packing in less than an hour! It's super fast and cost-efficient. I should have hired them to pack more stuff. When calculating the final cost, they carefully deducted the lunch time. Two folks joined in the middle, and they calculated the labor cost by person-hour honestly. My overall experience with D&L has been pleasant. Every dollar spent was worthy. My only regret is that I didn't know them and used them earlier!

Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should ANYONE hire Peninsula Pack & Move or Peninsula Cleaning and Moving. I…read morehired them for a cross town move and they completely destroyed my 85" flatscreen TV. They did not attempt to wrap or cover it at all. Not only that but they put the screen up against the inside wall of the moving truck. To add insult to injury, they showed up SIX hours late to the job and overcharged me for a full hour of work @ $155.00 an hour. When I reported the issue to Johnny (manager) he told me they aren't responsible for any damages. Their contract clearly states that per their insurance carrier, they are required to cover and wrap all furniture. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER! Update in response to owners reply.... I have photographs that clearly show the TV was not wrapped or covered as David H is stating. I photographed the entire packing job at the destination to check for any shifting of load or damage. You can CLEARLY see in the photos that there is nothing in between the screen and wall of truck. You can also see the rub/wear marks on the TV itself from contact with the wall. The photographs will be used as proof of negligence on behalf of Peninsula Pack & Move it small claims court. There are other reviews that show a pattern of poor performance and will only serve to bolster said case. With regard to your near ignorant comment about getting me in on short notice.. Your marketing and business card states that "last minute moves are welcome". I'm curious if you think my being a last minute schedule somehow means you can treat my belongings worse than someone that scheduled a week or month prior?
