Grew up in Faribault and came back home for a wedding. When we arrived we were being escorted to…read moreour spot (not necessary - give me a map). The owner/?husband called the escort and had us take a short cut through the tees. We have a large 5th wheel, this was not ideal. We got to our spot, the owner dictated how we parked on the site....it was way to close to the camper behind us. The owner was overly concerned about anyone parking on his "grass", clover is hard to kill! We were not allowed to put a rug out to reduce dirt tracking in. The worst part are the signs that warn people to check in at the office and that "EVERY" visitor is required to pay $5.00 each. The pool was closed, the internet did not reach our site...pay why? Had family stop by to chat and see the camper and we apparently had a knock at the door (thought it was the dogs) then it was a definite BOOM BOOM BOOM on our door. The man was visibly upset and demanded my sister move her car to a different spot, I said they were just visiting for a short time, he angrily said they should have checked in. I get that there are rules at these places to make sure it is a pleasant experience for all, but he made us feel very uncomfortable, when we were just staying to ourselves. Most spots appear to be long term, seasonal residents. Short term campers are stuffed in like sardines. Maybe focus a little on the broken down camper in the middle of the road and the kids over the weekend who blocked the roads and screamed at decibels that hurt your ears. I have family in town, but I will never go back there.

Lots of activities, always something going on. My one gripe, there is a ton of traffic in the campgrounds. I understand that it is a busy place, but I kept seeing the same vehicles driving by. Tons of golf carts always around. Visitors can't have, so the seasonal people really like cruising around in them. It is non stop traffic. Oh well, if I had a golf cart I'd probably drive it all over non stop too.

This means that a family who has 4 children must decide whether the mom or the dad would like to go with their kids to Kamp Dels, but not both. Seems very unacceptable for a place that claims to be "family friendly". Even for a family who has 2 children, they would not be able to bring 2 friends and still have both parents there. Seems absolutely ridiculous, especially for a campground like this. Extremely disappointed and will be looking into other options for next summer. It's ironic how they plaster being family friendly on all descriptions and overviews of their campground, yet are against bigger families. If you have a group or family/friends of more than 5, STAY AWAY before wasting money and time.

Reasonably priced, Very clean, very quiet and nicely landscaped. Met Kurt, son of the owner- what a super friendly guy. There is a nice walking path around the lake. All the RV spaces are gravel, spacious, wide for parking our tow, and with a portion of grass. It was easy to maneuver our 43 ft Class A Coach. We backed into spot #7, for two nights. Perfect !! We had made a reservations and due to the weather they called us once a couple days before we were…read moresupposed to to show up saying that the area they assigned was flooded so they moved us to another site. We show up today to check in the entire area to the road to get to the campsite was flooded no signs no nothing once we get through that, we go check in and they tell us we're not taking reservations due to the area being flooded no phone call or nothing. We drove an hour and a half. They refused to give us a refund and would only give us a credit to come back within the next year or so, we reserve three camping areas and had to put a deposit down of 100 hundred per site so that's $300 that we have in credit for a place that we may not ever come back to the staff was very rude. Very disorganized, we asked if we could change days or reschedule due to the weather and the possible flooding and we're told no we would just lose the money if we didn't show up..
