We've been here three times in the last year. Absolutely loved it the first time we came for lunch. Went again a few months later and it was ok but we went for dinner so maybe a bit more chaotic. Went for lunch today, it's not that we didn't enjoy our meal, it's just we didn't feel that wow factor we had the first time. We got the same table we got the first time, in the front. It's a good spot with a window. The service is not that great. Had to beg for water, they didn't notice that we were empty. I don't care that I have to pay for water in Barcelona but come on, we ordered three waters forgetting they use their own purification system and bottles. They brought one and eventually a second, but we could have used the third. The sushi rolls are small. Tasty but too small for the price. They were just ok this time. Glad we mixed it up though. Have gotten the 6x4 deluxe twice, but opted for something new this time. The okinomiyaki was soooo disappointing this time and it was kind of the reason we had come. The nigiri was wonderful, hamachi and toro. I'm disappointed that every time we come I like it a little less. It's pricy here, the service is meh and the sushi is small. I think it's time to try something new or stick to something closer to home for a sushi fix. Food 5/5 Service 1/5 This is some of the best sushi I've had outside of Japan. Everything we ordered was delicious and the fish was very fresh. The Okonomiyaki was fantastic. The Toro Soasado was out of this world tasty. We got the Sashimi Moriawase per person, and the cuts were very fresh and excellent. We tried the Bad Boy roll, but didn't like it. Reservations are recommended. Unfortunately, the service was terrible - the worst service I've ever experienced at a fine dining establishment. The server taking our drink and food orders was very unfriendly and had a negative attitude. She took our drink order, then when she came back to take our food order she didn't say anything; she just stood there with her paper and pen waiting for us to say something. She never checked in or asked how we were doing, she just silently brought us our drinks. A different server later came over and told us there was no hamachi for our sashimi orders, but didn't offer suggestions. He said "there's no hamachi", and that was it. I'd advise management to train servers in this situation to say "Sorry, there is no hamachi for the sashimi, but is there something you would like to substitute? I would suggest ____." Then, a third and different server gave us our check, and suggested that we tip more on top of the fact that tip was already included in the bill. We paid in cash and he then proceeded to count the cash on our table in front of us, which we thought was very rude. Tip was already included in the bill, and he seemed like he was trying to pressure us to tip more even though the service was awful. We very much enjoyed the food, but the servers need training and need to be more polite. read more

Delicious Japanese cuisine in Barcelona. I had the pleasure of joining friends at this spot on my last night. The dishes came out beautifully. We had some of everything, even really good sake that made the meal exceptional. The atmosphere was hip and cool. Dark and perfectly lit. Music tunes were fun and upbeat. There isn't anything like this spot in Cali. Maybe it was just being in Barcelona that made it feel new and special. I basically fell in love with everything Barcelona. The sushi was ok. A little overpriced compared to what we are used to. 3 stars for the sushi. There was a snafu at dinner where my son had scolding miso soup spilled on him. We worked at restaurants and know how hard it can be and the waiter and manager said they would comp our whole meal due to burning him. At this point I was going to give them a good review for making up the error and being sympathetic. I gave my son a lot of euros to give them a big tip for making up for this error. They then avoided us for a good 30 min and then came back and gave me the bill, comped the soup that was spilled and a small discount when they were going to comp the entire meal. They didn't even comp my son's meal who they injured. We could have complained and made a big deal about it, as it really was. My son gave them the tip before he realized they gave me the bill. Long story short they injured my son, changed what they said they were going to do and we left as the better people. We treat others the way we want to be treated and this was an expensive lesson for my son that others don't do the same. If they were to reverse the charge on my credit card as they should I will reverse this review. This is a honest review from someone who tells the truth. We will not go back to an establishment that lies for a couple extra bucks. read more
